The disclosure relates to a Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic (LTCC) substrate and a preparation method thereof, and in particular to a dielectric-constant-adjustable LTCC substrate and a preparation method thereof. The LTCC substrate of the disclosure includes the following components: glass, SiO.sub.2 and Al.sub.2O.sub.3, a weight percentage of the SiO.sub.2 in the LTCC substrate is 10% to 25%.

PRE-SINTERED PORCELAIN BLOCK FOR DENTAL RESTORATION, PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR AND APPLICATION THEREOF

A pre-sintered porcelain block for dental restoration; the pre-sintered porcelain block does not contain crystal phases and has a Vickers hardness of 0.5-2 GPa. Due to a hardness which is significantly lower than that of the porcelain block containing a lithium metasilicate crystal phase, the pre-sintered porcelain block may be processed by using dry machining and can simultaneously be processed by using wet machining when being mechanically processed into a dental restoration shape.

GLASS CERAMICS AND GLASS COMPOSITE COMPOSITIONS

A glass ceramic manufactured by sequentially performing the processes of melting and thermal decomposition, water quenching and sintering of a glass composite. The glass ceramic includes 38 wt % to 49 wt % CaO, 41 wt % to 52 wt % SiO.sub.2 and 0.1 wt % to 20 wt % P.sub.2O.sub.5. The glass composite includes a glass component and P.sub.2O.sub.5, and the glass component includes CaCO.sub.3 and SiO.sub.2 and does not include an alkali metal oxide. The melting and thermal composition temperature is from 1350° C. to 1650° C. The sintering temperature is from 750° C. to 1050° C. By the combination of CaO, SiO.sub.2 and P.sub.2O.sub.5 and the control of the contents of CaO, SiO.sub.2 and P.sub.2O.sub.5 within the aforementioned ranges, and the glass ceramic contains no alkali metal oxide, the glass ceramic has good mechanical strength and low cytotoxicity.

Manufacture of porous glass and glass-ceramic particulate structures by gel casting

The invention discloses porous, bioactive glass and glass ceramic morsels or pellets to be used as tissue graft substitute materials and processes for obtaining the same wherein the bioactive glass and glass ceramic morsels or pellets are made up of natural agents like phosphate, calcium, sodium and other elements which are not alien to the human or animal body. The said preparation process encompasses various steps like quenching sintering, foaming, and sol-gel casting which render the glass morsels or pellets unique bioactivity and enhanced porosity which may facilitate tissue repair and augmentation during tissue graft replacement.
