Coating and coating formulation
A coated substrate comprising a coating layer with inorganic oxide and pores, the coating layer demonstrates improved anti-soiling properties. The coated substrate may for example be used in solar modules. Further a coating formulation and use of the coating formulation are disclosed.
Articles with patterned coatings
Embodiments of a article including include a substrate and a patterned coating are provided. In one or more embodiments, when a strain is applied to the article, the article exhibits a failure strain of 0.5% or greater. Patterned coating may include a particulate coating or may include a discontinuous coating. The patterned coating of some embodiments may cover about 20% to about 75% of the surface area of the substrate. Methods for forming such articles are also provided.
Coated glass-based articles with engineered stress profiles and methods of manufacture
Coated glass-based articles and methods of manufacture disclosed. An article comprises a chemically strengthened glass-based core substrate having a first surface and a second surface, a chemically strengthened glass-based first cladding substrate having a third surface directly bonded to the first surface to provide a first core-cladding interface and a chemically strengthened glass-based second cladding substrate having a fourth surface directly bonded to the second surface to provide a second core-cladding interface, wherein the core substrate is bonded to the first cladding substrate and the second cladding substrate, and there is a coating on the first cladding substrate.
CERAMIC INK FOR AUTOMOTIVE GLASS
A ceramic ink may include about 20% to 80% by weight oxide frit, wherein the oxide frit is particles of at least one compound selected from silica, titania, alumina, zirconia, a compound having fluoride ion, bismuth oxide, zinc oxide, boron oxide, potassium oxide, sodium oxide, calcium oxide, barium oxide, lead oxide, lithium oxide, phosphorous oxide, molybdenum oxide, strontium oxide, and magnesium oxide; about 10% to 40% by weight infrared or near-infrared transmissive or reflective inorganic pigment; and about 10% to 40% vehicle.
ARTICLES WITH PATTERNED COATINGS
Embodiments of an article including a substrate and a patterned coating are provided.
Emulsion compositions and methods for strengthening glass
The present invention provides, in various embodiments, compositions and methods for strengthening glass without heat or chemical processing of the glass itself. The compositions of the present invention are emulsions comprising polymer colloid particles that are functionalized with an organosilicon compound. The polymer colloid particles can fill surface defects in the glass due to their size being smaller than the surface defects, and the functional groups thereon can react with the surface of the glass to anchor the particles in the defects.
INFRARED ABSORBING MATERIAL FINE PARTICLE DISPERSION LIQUID AND PRODUCING METHOD THEREOF
An infrared absorbing material fine particle dispersion liquid including infrared absorbing material fine particles and a solvent, the infrared absorbing material fine particles containing fine particles of composite tungsten oxide represented by a general formula MxWOy, the solvent containing water, wherein an absolute value of a zeta potential of the infrared absorbing material fine particle dispersion liquid is 5 mV or more and 100 mV or less.
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF SCINTILLATOR MATERIAL AND SCINTILLATOR MATERIAL
A method of manufacturing a scintillator material includes providing a substrate made of a quartz glass and having a recess formed therein; filling the recess with a raw material powder obtained by mixing an iodide raw material and SiO.sub.2 fine particles; after filling the recess, disposing a lid on the substrate to cover the recess; and after disposing the lid, heating the substrate, thereby forming a nanocomposite layer in which an iodide phosphor is introduced into a cristobalite structure.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING REFLECTIVE OPTICAL ELEMENTS FOR THE EUV WAVELENGTH RANGE, AND REFLECTIVE OPTICAL ELEMENTS FOR THE EUV WAVELENGTH RANGE
Provided for herein are methods for producing reflective optical elements for the EUV wavelength range which have grating structures or which include structures that can serve as phase shifters. The methods may include the following operations: applying a structurable layer to a substrate, applying a reflective coating to the substrate that has been provided with the structurable layer, and locally irradiating the structurable layer. The structurable layer may be irradiated before or after application of the reflective coating.
