Coating and coating formulation
A coated substrate comprising a coating layer with inorganic oxide and pores, the coating layer demonstrates improved anti-soiling properties. The coated substrate may for example be used in solar modules. Further a coating formulation and use of the coating formulation are disclosed.
Thermal insulating glass, method for preparing the same and thermal insulating glass product
A thermal insulating glass includes a glass substrate and a thermal insulating layer. The thermal insulating layer includes composite tungsten oxide and a binder. The composite tungsten oxide is represented by formula (1): M.sub.xWO.sub.3-yA.sub.y (1), where M is an alkali metal element or an alkaline earth metal element, W is tungsten, O is oxygen, A is a halogen element, and 0<x≤1 and 0≤y≤0.5. And the binder includes one or more of the following components: silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, and aluminium oxide. The thermal insulating glass can prevent the occurrence of obscuration. The thermal insulating has infrared reflectivity, high strength and good wear resistance, and can effectively resist high temperature and strong oxidation environment.
TEMPERATURE RESPONSIVE OPTICAL LIMITER, COMPOSITION AND DEVICE
The present invention relates to optical power-limiting devices, and more particularly, to an optical power-limiting passive (self-adaptive) device and to a method for limiting solar power transmission in devices such as windows, using scattering level changes in a novel thermotropic composition that contains salt nano or microparticles embedded in a solid transparent host layer, where temperature change induces change in the refraction index of the matrix as well as of the embedded particles, creating a scattering layer, substantially reflecting the incident light thus limiting the amount of light passing through the window, green house covers, car sun roofs, solar panel windows and protection layers on housing roofs and walls, as a function of ambient temperature.
Particle mixture
The present invention relates to a particle mixture comprising particles of glass frit and particles of a crystalline oxide material, wherein the glass frit comprises silicon oxide (SiO.sub.2), zinc oxide (ZnO) and sulfur (S) and wherein the D90 particle size of the particle mixture is less than 5 microns. The particle mixture may be used to apply an enamel to a substrate. The present invention further relates to the use of the particle mixture to form an enamel on a substrate, to a glass sheet and to an automotive window pane.
SELF-BINDING SUSPENSIONS COMPRISING TITANIUM DIOXIDE AND ZINC OXIDE NANOPARTICLES AND COATED SUBSTRATES PREPARED USING SELF-BINDING SUSPENSIONS
Provided are self-binding suspensions and coated substrates prepared using self-binding suspensions. Also provided are methods of preparing self-binding suspensions. Methods may include preparing a binder solution; preparing a titanium dioxide-zinc oxide suspension using ultrasonication; mixing the binder solution with the titanium dioxide-zinc oxide suspension and a surfactant to form a self-binding suspension composition; and coating a glass substrate with the self-binding suspension composition to form a coated glass substrate.
Coating material, cover glass, solar cell module and outer wall material for building
To provide a coating material capable of forming a solar cell module excellent in the weather resistance, the power generation efficiency and the design, a cover glass, a solar cell module comprising the cover glass, and an outer wall material for building. The cover glass of the present invention is a cover glass comprising a glass plate and a layer containing a fluorinated polymer having units based on a fluoroolefin, on at least one surface of the glass plate, which has an average visible reflectance of from 10 to 100%, and an average near infrared transmittance of from 20 to 100%.
Cooktop with a heating coating
A cooktop includes a base and an electrically conductive coating applied to the lower surface of the base. The coating is composed of a paint containing electrically conductive particles dispersed in a silicone or polyester-silicone or epoxy-silicone resin. The conductive particles are selected from the group consisting of multi-wall or single-wall carbon nanotubes, graphene, copper metallic particles, nickel metallic particles, or combinations thereof.
Thermoformed cover glass for an electronic device
A property-enhanced cover sheet, and methods for forming a property-enhanced cover sheet, for a portable electronic device are disclosed. A property-enhanced cover sheet is formed by thermoforming a glass sheet into a specified contour shape while modifying one or more properties of the glass. Other property-enhanced sheets can be formed by layering two or more glass sheets having different material properties, and then thermoforming the layered sheets into a required contour shape. Property enhancement for a cover sheet includes, hardness, scratch resistance, strength, elasticity, texture and the like.
Transparent photochromic device
The present invention relates to a metal hydride device having a variable transparency, comprising a substrate, at least one layer including a photochromic yttrium hydride having a chosen band gap, and a capping layer at least partially positioned on the opposite side of the photochromic yttrium hydride layer from the substrate, said capping layer being essentially impermeable to hydrogen and oxygen.
METHOD FOR PREPARING A RADIONUCLIDE-COATED MICROSPHERE
A process for delivering a radionuclide material is provided in which the radionuclide, such as holmium oxide, is coated on a glass microsphere. A coating, preferably a dipodal polysiloxane, is applied to the microsphere, which coating has an affinity for the radionuclide. The radionuclide material is milled to decrease agglomerations and then deposited onto the coating to form a radionuclide-coated microsphere. The radionuclide-coated microsphere provides metered delivery of the radionuclide material.
