Chromate-free ceramic coating compositions for hot corrosion protection of superalloy substrates

Hexavalent chromium-free slurry formulations which are suitable in the production of ceramic overlay coating systems are described. The formulations provide superior hot corrosion and heat oxidation protection for superalloy substrates. A basecoat slurry and topcoat slurry are provided. The basecoat slurry includes an aluminum phosphate based aqueous solution having a molar ratio of Al:PO.sub.4 higher than about 1:3 with the incorporation of metal oxide particles. The topcoat slurry includes an aluminum phosphate based aqueous solution having a molar ratio of Al:PO.sub.4 higher than about 1:3. Both of the basecoat slurry and the topcoat slurry are hexavalent chromium-free.

REJUVENATION OF RECLAIMED ASPHALT PAVEMENT

A method of rejuvenating reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is provided. The method includes mixing the RAP with oil sludge, at least one asphalt binder, and at least one aggregate at a temperature of 100-200° C. to form a mixture. The method further includes compacting the mixture to form a rejuvenated paving material. The oil sludge is 60-80 wt. % water, 10-30 wt. % sediments, and 5-30 wt. % hydrocarbon oils based on a total weight of the water, sediments, and hydrocarbon oils.

Grain-oriented electrical steel sheet and method for producing grain-oriented electrical steel sheet

A grain-oriented electrical steel sheet according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a steel sheet and an insulation coating, in which the insulation coating contains a first metal phosphate, which is a metal phosphate of one or two more metals selected from Al, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, and Zn; a second metal phosphate, which is a metal phosphate of one or two more metals selected from Co, Mo, V, W, and Zr; and colloidal silica, the insulation coating does not contain chromate, and an elution amount of phosphoric acid of the insulation coating as determined by boiling the grain-oriented electrical steel sheet in a boiled pure water for 10 minutes, then measuring an elution amount of phosphoric acid into the pure water, and dividing the amount of phosphoric acid by the area of the insulation coating of the boiled grain-oriented electrical steel sheet is 30 mg/m.sup.2 or less.
