Refractory molded body, compounds, binders, and method for producing same
The present invention relates to a compound for making high-temperature-resistant or refractory molded bodies, made up of a mixture of: a refractory or high-temperature-resistant inorganic powder, granules and/or granulate, including a free-flowing compound or a powder made of carbon or also without carbon, a binder,
the binder being made of a combination of tannin, lactose, fine-grained silica and aluminum powder, as well as the binder itself, and molded bodies produced from the compound including the binder, and a method of making same.
GUIDE PIN AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention discloses a guide pin, which comprises a base support layer (1) and a protective layer (2). The base support layer (1) is a rod-shaped structure. The protective layer (2) tightly wraps the surface of the base support layer (1). A manufacturing method for the guide pin made of various materials is also disclosed. The guide pin manufactured by the method of the present invention is not prone to bending or deformation and has good corrosion resistance and acid/alkaline resistance properties; it is wear resistant and has of extended service life; it is easy to be processed and is low in cost.
Mixer, method of mixing raw material for powder metallurgy binder for injection moulding composition
A mixer for ceramic feedstock pellets includes a tank, a mixing device within the tank, and a heat exchanger including a cooler for cooling of the content of this tank. A controller controls the heat exchanger which includes a heater arranged to heat the content of this tank to a temperature comprised between a lower temperature (TINF) and a higher temperature (TSUP) stored in a memory for a specific mixture. The heater exchanges energy with a heat exchanger and mixing temperature maintenance circuit, external to this tank. The thermal inertia of this circuit is higher than that of this fully loaded tank.
MOLD MATERIAL MIXTURE CONTAINING ADDITIVES FOR REDUCING CASTING DEFECTS
The subject matter of the invention is mold material mixtures for producing molds or cores for metal casting, consisting of at least one refractory base mold material, a binder and an additive based on factice. The invention also relates to a component system, a method for producing molds and cores using the mold material mixtures or the component system respectively, and to molds and cores produced by said method.
Binder for injection moulding compositions
A binder for an injection moulding composition includes: from 35 to 54% by volume of a polymeric base, from 40 to 55% by volume of a mixture of waxes, and approximately 10% by volume of a surfactant, wherein the polymeric base contains copolymers of ethylene and methacrylic or acrylic acid, or copolymers of ethylene and vinyl acetate, or copolymers of ethylene including maleic anhydride or a mixture of these copolymers, as well as polyethylene, polypropylene and acrylic resin.
METHOD OF MAKING A FIBER PREFORM FOR CERAMIC MATRIX COMPOSITE (CMC) FABRICATION
A method of making a fiber preform for ceramic matrix composite (CMC) fabrication that utilizes a fugitive binder and a machining step is described. The method includes, according to one embodiment, laying up a plurality of plies to form a stack, where each ply comprises an arrangement of fibers. The stack is infiltrated with a polymer at an elevated temperature to form an infiltrated stack that is cooled to form a rigid preform. The rigid fiber preform is machined to have a predetermined shape, such that a machined fiber preform is formed. A composite assembly including the machined fiber preform is formed and then the composite assembly is heated at a sufficient temperature to pyrolyze the polymer. Thus, a porous preform of a predetermined geometry is formed for further processing into a CMC.
REFRACTORY ARTICLE AND COMPOSITION
There is provided a refractory article for use in metal casting and a composition for manufacture thereof, comprising a particulate refractory material, an oxidisable fuel, an oxidant, a sensitizer; a binder, and from 0.5 to 5 wt % CaSO.sub.4.
MODIFYING AGENT AND METHOD OF ALTERING THE ELECTROPHYSICAL AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF A CERAMIC
The invention lies within the field of ceramic technology, in particular ceramic production technology. Namely, it refers to modifier that alters the electrophysical and magnetic properties of ceramics, which is a product of technological processing of one or more batch mix components of the specified ceramic sample, the relevant ceramic sample, an intermediate product obtained after baking of the relevant ceramic sample, a known alloying agent, or a combination thereof. It also refers to the method for altering the electrical and magnetic properties of ceramics, according to which the dry batch mix is saturated with the claimed modifier, followed by baking and sintering according to the relevant ceramic sample production technology. The invention provides for the production of modified ceramics with improved electrical and magnetic properties, without the formation of impurity defects in the crystalline structure of the resulting ceramics.
