METHOD FOR DEPOSITING A DECORATIVE AND/OR FUNCTIONAL METAL LAYER ON A SURFACE OF AN ARTICLE MADE OF AN ELECTRICALLY NON-CONDUCTIVE CERAMIC MATERIAL
A method for depositing a decorative and/or functional layer on at least a portion of a surface of a finished or semi-finished article made of a non-conductive ceramic material, this deposition method includes the following operations: subjecting the at least a portion of the surface of the article to a carburising or nitriding treatment during which carbon, respectively nitrogen atoms, diffuse in the at least a portion of the surface of the article, then depositing, by galvanic growth of a metallic material, the decorative and/or functional layer on at least a portion of the surface of the article which has undergone the carburising or nitriding treatment.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A COMPOSITE COMPONENT OF A TIMEPIECE OR OF A JEWELRY PART, AND COMPOSITE COMPONENT OBTAINABLE BY SUCH METHOD
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite component of a timepiece or of a jewelry part, the composite component comprising a porous ceramic part and a metallic material filling the pores of said ceramic part, said method comprising the steps of: providing a porous ceramic preform of the component, providing a metallic material, heating the metallic material to a temperature higher than the melting point of the metallic material, filling the pores of the ceramic preform with the molten metallic material, cooling the metallic material and the ceramic preform to obtain a solidified metallic material in the pores of the ceramic preform, and applying finishing treatments to obtain the composite component,
wherein said porous ceramic preform consists essentially of a material selected from the group consisting of Si.sub.3N.sub.4, SiO.sub.2 and mixtures thereof, and said metallic material is selected from the group consisting of gold, platinum, palladium metals and alloys of these metals.
The invention relates also to a composite component of a timepiece or of a jewelry part comprising a porous ceramic part and a metallic material filling the pores of said ceramic part, wherein said porous ceramic part consists essentially of a material selected from the group consisting of Si.sub.3N.sub.4, SO.sub.2 and mixtures thereof, and said metallic material which is selected from the group consisting of gold, platinum, palladium metals and alloys of these metals.
Coatings for glass molding, preparation method and application thereof and molds having coatings
Disclosed are a coating for glass molding, a preparation method and application thereof and a mold having the coating. The coating includes a nitride layer and nano precious metal particles which are dispersed in the nitride layer. A surface roughness of the coating is 2-12 nm. The preparation method of the coating includes: cleaning a substrate and targets under an inert gas; and under a mixed atmosphere of nitrogen and the inert gas, depositing, with a high-purity W target, a high-purity Cr target and a precious metal inserted Cr target, a Cr intermediate layer, a nitride layer and nano precious metal particles on a surface of the substrate. The coating has good oxidation resistance and excellent anti-adhesion property. Moreover, the coating effectively inhibits the adhesion between the glass body and the mold.
