Heating element and method for fabricating the same and electronic atomizer
A heating element and method for fabricating the same includes: a heating material piece configured to generate heat when being powered. A first substrate is configured to support the heating material piece and a liquid guiding member is configured to guide an atomizing liquid to be heated. The first substrate is a substrate made of a dense material and the heating material piece is a film with a certain resistance formed by a resistive slurry fixed on a surface of the dense material substrate by at least one selected from printing, coating, soaking and spraying. Two wires are electrically connected to the first substrate to form electrodes that are respectively connected to two ends of the film with a certain resistance. The liquid guiding member is a member made of a microporous material fixed outside the first substrate and the heating material piece.
A Ceramic Reinforced Metal Composite For Hermetic Bodies For Implantable Devices
A ceramic reinforced metal composite (CRMC) comprising a composition composite as an interpenetrating network of at least two interconnected composites is described. The interpenetrating networks comprise a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) and a metal matrix composite (MMC). The composition composite is particularly useful as an electrically conductive pathway extending through the ceramic body of a hermetically sealed component, for example, a feedthrough in an active implantable medical device (AIMD).
Microwave assisted and low-temperature fabrication of nanowire arrays on scalable 2D and 3D substrates
A method of making a titanium dioxide nanowire array includes contacting a substrate with a solvent comprising a titanium (III) precursor, an acid, and an oxidant while microwave heating the solvent, thereby forming a hydrogen titanate H2Ti2O5.H2O nanowire array. The hydrogen titanate nanowire array is annealed to form a titanium dioxide nanowire array. The substrate is seeded with titanium dioxide before starting the hydrothermal synthesis of the hydrogen titanate nanowire array. The titanium dioxide nanowire array is loaded with a platinum group metal to form an exhaust gas catalyst. The titanium dioxide nanowire array can be used to catalyze oxidation of combustion exhaust.

REFRACTORY METAL INKS AND RELATED SYSTEMS FOR AND METHODS OF MAKING HIGH-MELTING-POINT ARTICLES
Thin films of precious metals such as platinum and gold have the required ability to withstand high temperatures, but in pure form can suffer from grain growth, agglomeration and dewetting at high temperature. Grain boundaries must therefore be pinned by alloying with other metals and/or by inclusion of non-metallic nanoparticles. While such bulk materials are known in the prior art, they have not existed previously as printable inks that can be deposited by additive manufacturing direct-write methods. These materials have been formulated for the first time as alloy and composite inks so that they may be applied by direct-write additive manufacturing techniques directly onto three-dimensional components or on high temperature substrates that can be adhered to complex components.
