Embodiments relate to an apparatus for descaling a vessel. The apparatus includes a frame having a frame top and a frame bottom, the frame including a longitudinal axis running from the frame top to the frame bottom. The apparatus includes an outrigger stabilizing assembly attached to the frame. The outrigger stabilizing assembly has a plurality of arms configured to extend and retract radially with respect to the longitudinal axis to abut against a wall of the vessel. The apparatus includes a turret attached to the frame bottom. The apparatus includes a hammer assembly pivotally attached to the turret. The hammer assembly has an extendable and retractable boom pivotally attached to the turret. The boom has first and second ends, and there is a reciprocating hammer pivotally attached to the second end of the boom.

Cement kiln burner device and method for operating the same

A cement kiln burner device includes a powdered-solid-fuel flow channel, a first air flow channel placed inside the powdered-solid-fuel flow channel to be adjacent to the powdered-solid-fuel flow channel, having means for swirling an air flow, an outer air flow-channel group placed concentrically in an outermost side outside the powdered-solid-fuel flow channel, having three or more second air flow channels adapted to form means for straightly forwarding an air flow, and a combustible-solid-waste flow channel placed inside the first air flow channel. The second air flow channels are placed proximally to each other in a radial direction within a range where air flows ejected from the respective second air flow channels are merged to form a single air flow, and are configured to control flow rates of the air flow ejected from the respective second air flow channels, independently for each second air flow channel.

METHOD TO REDUCE BUILD-UPS, CRUSTS AND RING FORMATION IN CLINKER PRODUCTION

Some embodiments are directed to a method to avoid the negative effect of both sulphur and vanadium presence contained in solid fuel used in cement clinker manufacturing line (build-up, kiln rings, etc.). Some embodiments are methods to prepare, dose and use a fuel additive based on an alkaline earth metal to allow the combination of vanadium and sulphur with said added alkaline earth metal, so that corrosion, build-up, crusts and ring formation in cement pre-heaters and kilns due to the presence of those components are avoided.

Method and Apparatus for Evaluating Residual Sulphur in a Cement Preheater, Method for Evaluating Blockage of a Cement Preheater, and a Cement Preheater

A method and a sensor device for evaluating residual Sulphur in a cement preheater of a cement kiln, wherein the residual Sulphur is based on the values of the fuel Sulphur content, the fuel rate of consumption, the hotmeal quality and the clinker Sulphur content. A method for evaluating blockage in a cement preheater includes evaluating the residual Sulphur in the cement preheater, determining an agglomeration rate of Sulphur compounds agglomerating on an inner surface of the cement preheater based on the residual Sulphur, and evaluating a level of blockage in at least one predetermined pathway of the cement preheater using a blockage evaluation unit, wherein the level of blockage is based on the agglomeration rate.
