ODORANTS AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING ODORANTS
The present invention relates to new classes of odorous tetrahydropyran-4-ol derivatives of formula X and/or alkene derivatives thereof of formula Y1 and Y2 which are useful as fragrance or flavor materials in particular in providing camphoraceous, woody, earthy, and/or patchouli-like notes to perfume, aroma or deodorizing/masking compositions. The present invention also relates to fragrance, flavor and/or deodorizing/masking compositions comprising said new classes of odorous tetrahydropyran-4-ol derivatives and/or alkene derivatives thereof.

Liquid crystal compound having a 3,6-dihydro-2H-pyran ring, negative dielectric anisotropy, liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display device
A liquid crystal compound is provided that satisfies at least one physical property, such as high stability to heat and light, a high clearing point (or high maximum temperature), a low minimum temperature of a liquid crystal phase, small viscosity, suitable optical anisotropy, large negative dielectric anisotropy, a suitable elastic constant and good compatibility with other liquid crystal compounds, a liquid crystal composition containing the compound, and a liquid crystal display device including the composition. A shallow bed solvent extractor comprises at least one moving bed having upstream and downstream ends and a feed inlet positioned adjacent to the upstream end, wherein a first batch of wet cannabinoid and terpene containing material is introducible to the at least one moving bed through the feed inlet. An outlet is positioned adjacent to the downstream end, wherein the first batch of wet cannabinoid and terpene containing material is carried on the at least one moving bed and exits the extractor through the outlet. A drive system is operatively connected to the at least one moving bed. The shallow bed solvent extractor further comprises a plurality of sprayers disposed above the upstream and downstream ends of the at least one moving bed and a non-polar solvent. The plurality of sprayers spray the first batch of wet cannabinoid and terpene containing material with the non-polar solvent.
