LAYERED BODY AND EXTRUSION-MOLDED ARTICLE
A tube or a hose including a fluoroelastomer and a polytetrafluoroethylene, the tube or the hose being an extruded article. The polytetrafluoroethylene is dispersed in a state of single particles in the extruded article, or the polytetrafluoroethylene has a specific surface area of less than 8 m.sup.2/g. Also disclosed is an extruded laminate including a fluoroelastomer layer formed form the tube or hose and a polymer layer.

COPOLYMERS OF HALOGENATED OLEFINS AND HALOGENATED CO-MONOMERS
Copolymers of one or more halogenated olefins and one or more halogenated co-monomers selected from the group consisting of halogenated alkenyl ethers, halogenated alkenyl esters, and halogenated (meth)acrylates are useful in various end-use applications wherein the presence of halogen (e.g., fluorine) in the copolymer imparts one or more desirable properties, as compared to analogous copolymers not containing halogen.
Fluoropolymer production method
The present invention aims to provide a method of producing a fluoropolymer, especially a fluoropolymer essentially including a tetrafluoroethylene or chlorotrifluoroethylene unit, at a higher polymerization rate with improved efficiency, the method being capable of improving the moldability in extrusion molding and suppressing discoloration. The method of producing a fluoropolymer of the present invention includes producing a fluoropolymer by polymerizing tetrafluoroethylene or chlorotrifluoroethylene in the presence of a peroxydicarbonate. The peroxydicarbonate is represented by the formula:
R—O—C(═O)—O—O—C(═O)—O—R
wherein R's may be the same as or different from each other and individually represent a C4 alkyl group or alkoxy alkyl group.
Method for producing purified fluoropolymer
Provided is a method for producing a purified fluoropolymer containing less fluoridable end groups. The production method includes: (a) melting a fluoropolymer to give a molten fluoropolymer; (b) reducing a reaction inhibitor in the molten fluoropolymer; (c) bringing the molten fluoropolymer into contact with an active substance after the step (b); and (d) removing a volatile matter from the molten fluoropolymer after the step (c).
