Modified novolak phenolic resin, making method, and resist composition
A modified novolak phenolic resin is obtained by reacting a novolak phenolic resin containing at least 50 wt % of p-cresol with a crosslinker. This method increases the molecular weight of the existing novolak phenolic resin containing at least 50 wt % of p-cresol to such a level that the resulting modified novolak phenolic resin has heat resistance enough for the photoresist application.

High residual content (HRC) kraft/soda lignin as an ingredient in wood adhesives
Most processes currently being proposed and/or used for the production of lignin from kraft or soda black liquors are capable of producing two main types of lignin: high residual content (HRC) lignin and low residual content (LRC) lignin. Surprisingly, it was discovered that HRC lignin, is a suitable ingredient in alkaline adhesives, particularly wood adhesives of the phenolic type (e.g. resole resins). This biomaterial is environmentally green and remarkably low cost, which makes it an industrially viable material to be used as a novel and major ingredient in phenolic adhesives for the manufacture of exterior grade plywood, laminated veneer lumber, oriented strand board (OSB) and other wood productsthis was successfully demonstrated in a number of laboratory experiments as well as several different mill trials. The composition, preparation and application of such wood adhesives are hereby disclosed.

Phosphorylated polycondensate as high efficiency water reducing agent and preparation method thereof
The present invention discloses a phosphorylated polycondensate high-performance water-reducing agent with a phosphorylated melamine derivative, instead of a conventional carboxyl group or sulfonic group, as a main adsorption group. The use of aryl alkoxypolyether as a side chain of the polymer provides a strong steric effect to improve the dispersibility and dispersion-retaining properties of the polymer. A polycondensate high-performance water-reducing agent and a method for preparing the same provided by the present invention have excellent overall performance, high adaptability for current low-grade raw materials of concrete, strong market demands, and vast application prospects. Additionally, the polycondensate has an advanced preparation process provided with the characteristics of industrially scalable production, which offers the prospect of a core technology in the field of water-reducing agent of concrete so as to promote development of the industry.
