IONIC-GROUP-CONTAINING MICROBALLOON AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a microballoon. The microballoon is made of polyurethane (urea). The microballoon is characterized in that an inner surface of the microballoon contains ionic groups. According to the present invention, through use for a CMP polishing pad, affinity with a slurry liquid for polishing is improved, and thus it is possible to provide a microballoon by which good polishing characteristics may be exhibited without lowering the resin strength of a polishing pad.

PHOSPHONIUM-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure describes phosphonium-containing polyurethane compositions, coating compositions, and coated fabric media. In one example, a phosphonium-containing polyurethane composition can include an aqueous liquid vehicle and polyurethane particles. The polyurethane particles can include a polyurethane polymer devoid of end cap groups. The polyurethane polymer can include a polyurethane backbone having a polymerized diamine chain extender forming a portion of the backbone. The polyurethane polymer can also include side chain groups along the polyurethane backbone. The side chain groups can collectively include aliphatic phosphonium salts and polyalkylene oxide groups.
POLYUREA COATING SYSTEMS AS SEALANTS FOR THE EXTERIOR OF FUEL TANKS
Disclosed herein is a 2K coating system consisting of two components (A) and (B) being separate from each other, where (A) includes at least one constituent (a1) containing at least one aromatic moiety and bearing on average at least two primary and/or secondary amino groups, where (B) includes at least one constituent (b1) containing at least one aromatic moiety and bearing on average at least two isocyanate groups, where each of (A) and (B) has a solid content of at least 95 wt.-%, based on the total weight of the respective component, and constituent (b1) present in component (B) bears carbodiimide and/or uretonimine units and at least one structural unit (I). Also disclosed herein are a coating composition obtainable by mixing components (A) and (B), a method of using said coating composition as sealant, a method of applying the coating composition to a substrate, and a sealed substrate.
Composition for a polishing pad, polishing pad, and process for preparing the same
In the composition according to the embodiment, the content of an unreacted diisocyanate monomer in a urethane-based prepolymer may be controlled to control the physical properties thereof such as gelation time. Thus, since the micropore characteristics, polishing rate, and pad cut rate of a polishing pad obtained by curing the composition according to the embodiment may be controlled, it is possible to efficiently manufacture high-quality semiconductor devices using the polishing pad.

DEGRADABLE POLYMER COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND USING IN DOWNHOLE TOOLS
A chemical composition for a degradable polymeric material includes an isocyanate terminated prepolymer, including prepolymer units as a main chain with a plurality of isocynanates at ends of the main chain, a catalyst additive, and a cross-linking agent. The isocyanate terminated prepolymer can be an isocyanate terminated polyester, polycarbonate or polyether prepolymer. The isocyanate terminated prepolymer has a structural formula as follows:
ONC—R″—NH—[—CO—R—CO—O—R′—O—]n—NH—R″—CNO
wherein R, R′ and R″ are an aryl group or alkyl group and wherein n is a number of prepolymer units corresponding to length of the main chain. The composition degrades at a rate and at a delay for failure between 8-72 hours. The composition is a dissolvable rubber material with a modulus and elongation suitable for a component of a downhole tool.
