COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT OF SAME
Provided is a composition capable of forming a cured product having excellent adhesion to a substrate, hardness, scratch resistance, and chemical resistance. The composition of the present disclosure includes a polyol compound (A) and an isocyanate compound (B), the polyol compound (A) containing a compound (a1) having a number average molecular weight calibrated with polystyrene standards of less than 800 and being represented by Formula (1), where R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 are a group represented by Formula (1a); and the isocyanate compound (B) containing a compound (b) represented by Formula (2), where L.sup.1 to L.sup.3 are a hydrogen atom, an NCO group, or an alkyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atom(s) and having a group represented by Formula (2′).
COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT THEREOF
Provided is a composition capable of forming a cured product excelling in adhesion to a substrate, hardness, scratch resistance, and chemical resistance. The composition of the present disclosure contains a polyol compound (A) and an isocyanate compound (B) The polyol compound (A) includes a compound (a1) represented by Formula (1) below, where R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 each are a group represented by Formula (1a), the compound (a1) having a number average molecular weight (calibrated with polystyrene standard) of 800 or greater. The isocyanate compound (B) includes a polyisocyanate compound having an isocyanurate skeleton.
HYPERBRANCHED POLYESTER POLYOLS SUITABLE FOR USE IN ORGANIC SOLVENT-BASED TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE COATING COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to polyester polyols comprising units derived from a) at least one COOH group or derivative thereof carrying component or mixture of components (A) comprising at least one compound carrying two COOH groups or derivatives thereof (A1), b) at least one OH group carrying component or mixture of components (B) comprising (i) at least one compound carrying three OH groups selected from the group consisting of 1,3,5-tris(hydroxymethyl)isocyanurate, 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl) isocyanurate, 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyisopropyl)isocyanurate, 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxypropyl)isocyanurate and 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxybutyl)isocyanurate (B1), (ii) at least one compound carrying two OH groups selected from the group consisting of 1,1-bis(hydroxymethyl)-cyclohexane, 1,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)-cyclohexane, 1,3-bis(hydroxymethyl)-cyclohexane, 1,4-bis(hydroxymethyl)-cyclohexane, 1,1-bis(hydroxyethyl)-cyclohexane, 1,2-bis(hydroxyethyl)-cyclohexane, 1,3-bis(hydroxyethyl)-cyclohexane and 1,4-bis(hydroxyethyl)cyclohexane (B2), (iii) optionally at least one compound or polymer carrying at least three OH groups, which is different from B1 (B3), and (iv) optionally at least one compound or polymer carrying two OH groups, which is different from B2 (B4), and c) optionally at least one compound carrying at least one OH group and at least one COOH group or a derivative thereof (C), and to organic-solvent based two-component coating compositions comprising a) a first component (K1) comprising (i) at least one polyester polyol of the present invention and (ii) optionally at least one polymer carrying more than one OH group, which is different from the polyester polyol of the present invention (D), and b) a second component (K2) comprising (i) at least one compound, oligomer or polymer carrying more than one N═C═O group or blocked N═C═O group (F).
POLYISOCYANATE COMPOUND, POLYURETHANE RESIN FORMING COMPOSITION USING SAME, AND CURED PRODUCT OF SAID COMPOSITION
Provided are a composition capable of forming a cured product with excellent hardness, scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and flexibility; and a polyisocyanate compound that can be used as a curing agent for the composition. The polyisocyanate compound is represented by Formula (1), wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 are identical or different and are a group represented by Formula (1a), wherein L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 are identical or different and represent an alkylene group having from 1 to 10 carbons, m represents a number of 0 or greater, L.sup.3 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having from 4 to 18 carbons, and X represents an isocyanate group or a blocked isocyanate group blocked with a blocking agent, where m is not simultaneously 0 for R.sup.1 to R.sup.3, and the bond with the wavy line bonds to a nitrogen atom in Formula (1). In addition, the composition contains a polyisocyanate compound and a polyacrylic polyol.

CURABLE COMPOSITION AND CURED PRODUCT THEREOF
To provide a curable composition capable of: forming a coating film having adhesion to a substrate surface; hardness; scratch resistance; and chemical resistance. The curable composition of the present disclosure contains a polyol compound (A) having an isocyanurate skeleton, an acrylic compound (B) containing a hydroxy group, and a polyisocyanate compound (C) having an isocyanurate skeleton and an isocyanate group besides the isocyanurate skeleton. The polyol compound (A) preferably contains a compound (a) represented by Formula (1) below. R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 in the formula are identical or different and are each a group represented by Formula (1a) below.

Polyisocyanate compound, polyurethane resin forming composition using same, and cured product of said composition
Provided are a composition capable of forming a cured product with excellent hardness, scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and flexibility; and a polyisocyanate compound that can be used as a curing agent for the composition. The polyisocyanate compound is represented by Formula (1), wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 are identical or different and are a group represented by Formula (1a), wherein L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 are identical or different and represent an alkylene group having from 1 to 10 carbons, m represents a number of 0 or greater, L.sup.3 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having from 4 to 18 carbons, and X represents an isocyanate group or a blocked isocyanate group blocked with a blocking agent, where m is not simultaneously 0 for R.sup.1 to R.sup.3, and the bond with the wavy line bonds to a nitrogen atom in Formula (1). POLYESTER POLYOLS COMPRISING 2,5-BIS(HYDROXYMETHYL)TETRAHYDROFURAN
The present invention relates to polyester polyols comprising units derived from a) at least one component (A) carrying at least one COOH group or a derivative thereof, wherein component (A) comprises (i) at least one compound carrying two COOH groups or derivatives thereof (A1), and b) at least one component (B) carrying at least one OH group and no COOH group, wherein component (B) comprises (ii) optionally at least one compound or oligomer carrying at least three OH groups and no COOH group (B1), (iii) at least one compound carrying two OH groups (B2) of formula
##STR00001## wherein n and m are independently from each other 0 or 1, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH.sub.3 and CH.sub.2CH.sub.3, and (iv) optionally at least one compound, oligomer or polymer carrying two OH groups and no COOH group, which is different from B2 (B3), and to an organic solvent-based two-component coating composition comprising a) a first component (K1) comprising (i) at least one polyester polyol of the present invention, and (ii) optionally at least one polymer carrying more than one OH group, which is different from the polyester polyol of the present invention, (D), and b) a second component (K2) comprising (i) at least one compound, oligomer or polymer carrying more than one NCO group or blocked NCO group (F), to substrates coated with the coating composition, and to coating layers on a substrate formed from the coating compositions.
POLYESTER POLYOLS COMPRISING ISOSORBIDE, ISOIDIDE OR ISOMANNIDE-DERIVED UNITS
The present invention relates to polyester polyols comprising units derived from a) at least one component (A) carrying at least one COOH group or a derivative thereof, wherein component (A) comprises (i) at least one compound carrying two COOH groups or derivatives thereof (A1), and b) at least one component (B) carrying at least one OH group and no COOH group, wherein component (B) comprises (ii) at least one compound or oligomer carrying at least three OH groups and no COOH group (B1), (iii) at least one compound carrying two OH groups (B2) selected from the group consisting of

B2a and B2c, wherein n and m are independently from each other 0 or 1, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, CH.sub.3 and CH.sub.2CH.sub.3, and (iv) optionally at least one compound, oligomer or polymer carrying two OH groups and no COOH group, which is different from B2 (B3), wherein the molar ratio of the OH groups of components B1 to the sum of OH groups of components B1, B2 and B3 is in the range of from 25 to 90%, and to an organic solvent-based two-component coating composition comprising a) a first component (K1) comprising (i) at least one polyester polyol of the present invention, and (ii) optionally at least one polymer carrying more than one OH group, which is different from the polyester polyol of the present invention, (D), and b) a second component (K2) comprising (i) at least one compound, oligomer or polymer carrying more than one NCO group or blocked NCO group (F), to substrates coated with the coating compositions, and to coating layers on a substrate formed from the coating compositions.
TWO-COMPONENT CURABLE COMPOSITION, TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVE, TWO-COMPONENT COATING AGENT, AND LAMINATE
The two-component curable composition contains a first agent which is produced by reacting a monomer for introducing a branch unit into a molecule with a monomer for introducing a first functional group into a molecular terminal; and a second agent which has a second functional group reactable with the first functional group, wherein the branching coefficient of the first agent is 1/f or more (f is the number of functional groups possessed by a monomer having the largest number of functional groups among monomers for introducing a branch unit into a molecule); and the agents are mixed and used at such a ratio that the equivalent ratio of the second functional group to the first functional group is excessive for the number of first functional groups.
POLYESTER POLYMER
A polyester polyol includes a reaction product obtained from: (i) a polyol including 3 or more hydroxyl groups; (ii) a dicarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof that includes 3 carbon atoms or fewer between the carboxylic acid groups or the anhydride thereof; (iii) a monocarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof; (iv) optionally a diol; and (v) optionally a dicarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof that includes greater than 3 carbons between the carboxylic acid groups or the anhydride thereof. A molar ratio of (i)+(iv) to (ii)+(v) ranges from 1.08:1 to 1.75:1, and a molar ratio of (i)+(iv) to (iii) ranges from 1.25:1 to 4:1. The reaction product has a hydroxyl value of from 60 to 300 mg KOH/g, and an acid value of less than 15 mg KOH/g.
