Aldimine containing glass bonding primer
A novel primer composition contains aldimine and/or epoxy resins, a process of making such primer to be used in glass bonding adhesive kit.
ADHESIVE KIT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING LAMINATE
An adhesive kit 1 separately includes a main agent layer 2 containing a polyamine component, and a curing agent layer 3 containing a polyisocyanate component. When the main agent layer 2 is reacted with the curing agent layer 3, the reactive parameter Pr exceeds 40% and the diffusion parameter Pd exceeds 15%.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING 2,2-DIALKYL-3-ACYLOXYPROPANALS
A process for preparing an aldol ester of the formula (I), wherein at least one carboxylic anhydride of the formula (II) is reacted with at least one aldol of the formula (III) with heating in the presence of a basic catalyst with a pKa of the conjugate acid of at least 8, and the reaction product obtained from the process. The process provides a light-coloured and low-odour reaction product which has a high content of aldol ester content of the formula (I) and can be used, without elaborate purification steps, particularly without overhead distillation of the aldol ester, as a blocking agent for primary amines. The resultant blocked amines have a long storage life together with polymers containing isocyanate groups, and cure rapidly and reliably on contact with moisture to form mechanically high-grade and robust elastomers.
Polyurethane golf ball
A golf ball according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is covered with an injection-molded crosslinked polyurethane. The golf ball may have excellent scuff resistance and light resistance of a cover as well as excellent driving distance and spin by using a cover composition containing crosslinked polyurethane obtained by adding a crosslinking agent to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). A polyurethane cover composition according to an embodiment can make it possible to prepare a crosslinked polyurethane cover by injection molding without the burden of facility investment cost.
Thermoplastic polyurethane materials for forming medical devices
Principles and embodiments of the present invention relate generally to thermoplastic polyurethane materials having controlled and improved stiffness and/or flexibility, and methods to prepare them. The thermoplastic polyurethanes described herein having superior stiffness and softening properties may be fabricated into film, tubing, and other forms of medical devices. The thermoplastic polyurethanes comprise: an aromatic diisocyanate excluding non-aromatic diisocyanates; at least one polyglycol; and a chain extender comprising at least one side-chain branching diol and excluding linear diols.
ALDIMINE CONTAINING GLASS BONDING PRIMER
A novel primer composition contains aldimine and/or epoxy resins, a process of making such primer to be used in glass bonding adhesive kit.
ALDIMINE CONTAINING GLASS BONDING PRIMER
A novel primer composition contains aldimine and/or epoxy resins, a process of making such primer to be used in glass bonding adhesive kit.
URETDIONE BASED POLYURETHANE COMPOSITIONS
The present invention provides a composition comprising a polyuretdione resin; and a blocked amine; and optionally, an additive package (e.g. flow control, wetting agent) and a solvent. The present invention further provides a method of forming a biuret comprising the steps of: unblocking a blocked amine in the presence of moisture; and crosslinking the unblocked amine with a polyuretdione resin. The compositions of the present invention are particularly applicable in or as coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants with good performance and extended pot-life.
Liquid-applied waterproofing membrane comprising oxazolidine and aldimine
The present invention describes a one-part moisture-curing liquid-applied waterproofing membrane including a polyurethane polymer and both an aldimine and an oxazolidine as blocked amine hardeners in a specific ratio range. The membrane has a low odor, a long shelf life stability, a low viscosity at low solvent content, a sufficiently long open time to allow hand application and cures fast to a solid elastic material. The liquid-applied waterproofing membrane can be suitable for roofing applications, possessing high strength, high elongation and good durability under outdoor weathering conditions in a broad temperature range.
