MULTI-LAYER COVER GOLF BALL HAVING A HIGH ACID CASING LAYER
A golf ball includes a single core having an outer surface and a geometric center. The core is formed from a substantially homogenous rubber composition. An inner cover layer is disposed about the core, the inner cover including a high-acid ionomer and having a material hardness of about 66 to 75 Shore D. The high-acid ionomer has an acid content of about 16% or greater. An outer cover layer is disposed about the inner cover layer, the outer cover including a polyurethane and having a material hardness of about 38 Shore D to about 56 Shore D. The core surface hardness is from 0 Shore C to 15 Shore C lower than the geometric center hardness to define a hardness gradient.
VINYL-MODIFIED FLUOROCARBON RESIN AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND CORROSION RESISTANT COATING AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A method for preparing a vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin comprises mixing a fluorine-containing vinyl monomer, an initiator, and a tetrafluoroethylene monomer in a gas phase to carry out an addition reaction so as to obtain the vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin. The fluorine-containing vinyl monomer is grafted onto tetrafluoroethylene, resulting in a vinyl-modified fluorocarbon resin which is highly resistant to strong acids and bases as well as weathering. The corrosion resistant coating prepared by using the resin as a base resin also has high resistances to strong acids and bases as well as weathering.
Process for producing elastomers
The present invention describes a process for producing an elastomer, preferably a polyurethane-containing elastomer, by reacting a polyol component (A) comprising at least one polyether carbonate polyol (A-1) containing carbon-carbon double bonds with a component (B) which is reactive with OH groups and contains at least one compound reactive toward OH groups, preferably an isocyanate component (B-1) containing NCO groups, in the presence of a free-radical initiator (C), preferably at least one peroxide (C-1), and optionally a catalyst (D), where the molar ratio of the OH-reactive groups of component (B) reactive with groups, to the OH groups of the polyol component (A) containing carbon-carbon double bonds, is greater than 1.0. It further relates to elastomers obtainable by such a process, preferably polyurethane elastomers, the use thereof, and two-component systems for production of elastomers, preferably polyurethane elastomers.
Polymeric adhesive for anchoring compliant materials to another surface
Methods, compositions, and kits for adhering polymers and other materials to another material, and in particular to bone or bone-like structures or surfaces. A composition of matter includes a urethane dimethacrylate-methyl methacrylate copolymer with a plurality of first polymer regions based on urethane dimethacrylate and a plurality of second polymer regions based on methyl methacrylate. The method includes placing an orthopedic joint implant having an attachment surface in a joint space, applying a first non-urethane-containing precursor, a second urethane-containing precursor, and a initiator to the attachment surface; contacting the first and second precursors and the initiator with the joint surface; and copolymerizing the first and second precursors and forming an adhesive copolymer and attaching the implant to the joint.
