POLYESTER RESIN, INK COMPOSITION FOR OFFSET PRINTING, PRINTED WORK, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR PRINTED WORK
A polyester resin that is a condensation polymer of a polyol mixture including an epoxidized vegetable oil and a rosin additive, a polycarboxylic acid and a vegetable-derived polyol; has a mass ratio (rosin/epoxidized vegetable oil) between the rosin and the epoxidized vegetable oil of 2-10; and has a biomass content of at least 80%. The polyester resin has a high proportion of biomass-derived components and can be used to obtain an offset printing ink composition that has excellent scratch resistance and excellent abrasion resistance.
Matt powder coatings
A branched carboxylic acid functional polyester resin P is described herein along with thermosetting powder coating compositions (PCC A) comprising a binder K, the binder K comprising the polyester resin P and a crosslinker X. The invention further relates to a cured PCC A. In addition, processes for making said PCC A and processes for coating an article with said PCC A are described as well as articles having coated thereon the PCC A and an articles having coated and cured thereon the PCC A.

The invention relates to multilayer materials for producing packaging comprising at least two films and also a layer which is printed with a packaging printing ink, said packaging printing ink comprising a certain hyperbranched polyester containing functional groups. The invention further relates to a packaging printing ink which comprises a certain hyperbranched polyester containing functional groups, and to the use of said printing ink for producing multilayer materials.
RMA CROSSLINKABLE POLYMER
The invention relates to an RMA crosslinkable polymer comprising: a) at least one RMA Donor moiety X comprising a C—H acidic proton in activated methylene or methine groups, b) at least one moiety Y comprising one or more 5- or 6-membered heterocycles containing an ether-, acetal- or ketal group which in case of two or more of such heterocycles can be fused or linked, wherein the polymer has a weight-average molecular weight Mw of at least 400 g/mol and a C—H equivalent molecular weight CH EQW of at least 80 g/mol. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of the RMA crosslinkable polymer, to an RMA crosslinkable composition comprising the RMA crosslinkable polymer and coated substrates.
SCRATCH RESISTANT THERMOSETTING COATING COMPOSITIONS
This invention relates to a carbamate functional thermosetting coating with a composition comprised of a carba-mate-functional acrylic and/or polyester polyol and an alkylated melamine-formaldehyde cross linker modified by an aliphatic polyester and an alkylated melamine. The polyester polyol is made of monomers including a 2,4,4-tetraalkylcyclobutane-1,3-diol and an aliphatic diacid. These polyester polyols can be used in blends with hydroxyl-functional or carbamate-functional acrylic resins or serve as the primary film former in a coating formulation.
