Manganese-bearing polymer complexes
The invention concerns a composition for use as drier in auto-oxidizable coatings or as accelerator in unsaturated polyester resins, comprising a manganese-bearing polymer having a manganese dicarboxylate repeating unit and at least one nitrogen-containing donor ligand. Such compositions offer excellent drying performances. They ensure a strongly reduced leachability of manganese compared to that of known manganese-bearing driers.

METHOD FOR PREPARING POLYESTER POLYOL
The present application discloses a method for preparing polyester polyol comprising performing transesterification of raw materials containing inorganic oxyacid ester and polyhydric alcohol to obtain the polyester polyol. The polyester polyol obtained by the method described in the present application has higher heat resistance.
YELLOWING RESISTANT POLYESTER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A polyester and a method for manufacturing polyester are provided. The polyester comprises one or more repeating units derived from polyols and one or more repeating units derived from polybasic acids and contains phosphorus and a metal element, wherein one or more repeating units derived from polyols include a repeating unit derived from tricyclodecane dimethanol, the weight ratio of the phosphorus to the metal element ranges from 0.05 to 5.00, and the metal element is selected from the group consisting of Ti, Sn, Sb, Ge, Mn, Zn, Ca, Co, Pb, Al, Zr, and combinations thereof.
METAL ORGANIC FRAMEWORKS COMPRISING COPPER IONS AND PROCESSES FOR PREPARING SAME
Provided is a metal organic framework (MOF) comprising copper ions. Also provided are resin powders, granules or pellets comprising the MOF. In some embodiments, the resin powders, granules or pellets are antimicrobial. Also provided are fibers or sheets comprising the MOF. In some embodiments, the fibers or sheets are antimicrobial. Processes for preparing the MOF are also provided.
Cutin-like materials with advanced functionalities and methods of manufacture
Cutin-based devices, coatings and methods of producing such devices and coatings are presented herein. Cutin-like materials (CLMs) are presented which mimic and adapt coatings found in nature for the next generation of functional coatings. Cutin has several advantages including excellent UV resistance, natural resistance to bacteria and viruses, noncorrosive, and stability under abrupt changes in temperature and environment. CLMs can be engineered at the nanoscale and readily impregnated with metals and metal oxides materials.
COPOLYESTERS DERIVED FROM ALIPHATIC GLYCOLS, AROMATIC DICARBOXYLIC ACIDS AND POLY(ALKYLENE-OXIDES) AND FILMS MADE THEREFROM
An optionally oriented copolyester film comprising a copolyester which comprises repeating units derived from an aliphatic diol, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a poly(alkylene oxide), wherein the copolyester film further comprises lithium ions, and wherein the film has a thickness of no more than about 25 m. The copolyester film is suitable for use a separator in a lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
