The present invention relates to a method for dewatering a web comprising microfibrillated cellulose, wherein the method comprises the steps of: providing a suspension comprising between 50 weight-% to 100 weight-% of microfibrillated cellulose based on total dry weight, forming a fibrous web of said suspension on a support wherein said web has a dry content of 1-25% by weight, applying a dewatering felt into direct contact with the fibrous web, conducting said fibrous web, arranged between said dewatering felt and said substrate, through a pressing equipment. The invention further relates to a film produced from said method.

It is provided a microspherical structure comprising an external shell of structured cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) and at least one polymer, and a core, wherein the core can be hollow or filled with an immiscible medium. It is also provided a method for producing the same comprising spray-drying the mixture of CNCs and polymer through an atomizer and into a drying chamber forming droplets, wherein the solvent used to suspend the CNCs is evaporated and the microspherical structures are formed. These microstructural spheres can have wide industrial, medical and pharmaceutical applications, whereby their ingredients and structure are tuned and controlled.

The present disclosure provides cellulose/metal composites and their use in removing impurities from liquids, including water. Carboxylated nanocelluloses are combined with metal ions and the resulting composite may be contacted with a liquid, including water, to remove impurities therefrom.
NANOCELLULOSE DISPERSION LIQUID AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A nanocellulose dispersion liquid including nanocellulose and a protic polar solvent having a dielectric constant of not less than 15 and less than 80 at 25° C. The nanocellulose contains a sulfuric acid group and/or a sulfo group derived from a sulfuric acid treatment and an anionic functional group derived from a hydrophilization treatment. Further, the total amount of the sulfuric acid group and/or the sulfo group and the anionic functional group is 0.20 to 4 mmol/g. Also disclosed is a method for producing the nanocellulose dispersion liquid.

The present invention relates to a powder of modified cellulose fibers having an average fiber length of 1 μm or more and 500 μm or less, wherein the modified cellulose fibers are made from anionically modified cellulose fibers introduced at an anionic group with a modifying group; a dispersion containing a powder of modified cellulose fibers as defined above and a medium, wherein the powder of modified cellulose fibers is dispersed in the medium; a resin composition containing a powder of modified cellulose fibers as defined in above and a resin, wherein the powder of modified cellulose fibers and the resin are blended; and a resin molded article obtained by molding a resin composition as defined above. According to the present invention, a powder of cellulose fibers having excellent dispersibility in a solvent, which can be obtained by an inexpensive process, and a method for producing the same can be provided.
