Methods of preparing the compositions described herein and methods of removing contaminants from plastics processing equipment are also described.

Polyamide resin composition and molded article comprising the same

A polyamide resin composition and a molded article manufactured using the same. The polyamide resin composition includes: about 40 wt % to about 60 wt % of a polyamide resin including a repeat unit represented by Formula 1 and a repeat unit represented by Formula 2 as defined in the specification; about 1 wt % to about 10 wt % of a maleic anhydride-modified olefin-based copolymer; about 5 wt % to about 20 wt % of calcium carbonate subjected to surface treatment with a silane compound; and about 20 wt % to about 40 wt % of glass fibers, wherein the silane compound includes a functional group comprising an amino group, an epoxy group, and/or a (meth)acryloxy group. The polyamide resin composition and the molded article produced using the same can have good properties in terms of plating adhesion, impact resistance, thermal resistance, and/or appearance, and the like.

Resin composite having excellent soundproofing and mechanical properties

Disclosed are a resin composite having excellent soundproofing and mechanical properties, and a molded product including the same. The resin composite may include a resin composition, porous particles and a reinforcing material, and the molded product including the same include no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). As consequence, displeasure caused by generation of the VOCs and exhaust of toxic gas during combustion may be reduced thereby being environmentally friendly. Further, the resin composite and the molded product including the same demonstrate sufficient mechanical strength and may thus be directly applied to a housing or the like of an apparatus which generates noise without introduction of any additional soundproofing material. For example, the resin composite and the molded product may include a specific content of the porous particles having pores having a specific size to secure an appropriate volume fraction and may thus efficiently and economically block noise transmission.

Polyolefin-based resin composition for vehicle interior material comprising heat-treated waste coffee grounds

Disclosed is a polyolefin-based resin composition for a vehicle interior material including heat-treated waste coffee grounds. The resin composition includes a polyolefin-based resin, waste coffee grounds including a volatile matter (VM) in an amount less than about 20 wt % of the waste coffee grounds, a modified polypropylene, an inorganic filler, and a thermoplastic elastomer.

BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITIONS AND ARTICLES MADE FROM CELLULOSE ACETATE

Thermoformable and biodegradable cellulose acetate compositions comprising at least one cellulose acetate at least one plasticizer, and at least one additional component chosen from a filler, additive, biodegradable polymer, stabilizer, or odor modifier are disclosed. The compositions are formed into films, sheets, and articles.

INORGANIC NANOMATERIAL FOR CONTINUOUS FORMALDEHYDE REMOVAL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

An inorganic nanomaterial for continuous formaldehyde removal includes the following components in part by mass: 20-30 parts of water, 0.1-0.3 parts of cellulose, 0.1-0.2 parts of a defoamer, 0.3-0.6 parts of a dispersant, 0.3-0.6 parts of a wetting agent, 20-25 parts of titanium dioxide, 5-10 parts of kaolin, 10-15 parts of heavy calcium, 30-40 parts of modified inorganic hybrid resin, 0.1-1 part of a film-forming additive, and 0.1-1 part of propylene glycol. After inorganic hybrid modification, an ammonia group is introduced, which can continuously and effectively decompose formaldehyde in the environment. A coating film not only has good anti-mildew, anti-algae, fire prevention, and heat insulation functions, but also has a continuous formaldehyde removal function. The formaldehyde removal efficiency is greater than 95%. The durability of formaldehyde purification effect is 90%.
