COMPOSITION FOR RESTORATION OF TISSUE INCLUDING BIODEGRADABLE POLYMERIC COPOLYMER
20230053224 · 2023-02-16 ·

The present invention provides a composition for restoration of tissue including a biodegradable polymeric copolymer which is obtained by polymerizing a hydrophobic biodegradable polymer and a hydrophilic biodegradable polymer. The composition of the present invention has excellent tissue restoration effects because of high collagen production rate without occurrence of nodules even when injected directly into the dermis, unlike the conventional composition for restoration of tissue.

The invention relates to a food packaging unit (20) comprising a food container (1) for receiving a liquid, pasty or free-flowing food. The injection-moulded, single-component, cup-shaped base body (2) of the food container surrounds, with a wall (5), a bottom (6) and an outwardly projecting collar (7), an opening (4) which is closed by a food-container-covering film (10) applied to the collar (7). The food container (1) is injection-moulded in a single layer from a polymer blend comprising two components, a first component of which being PVOH or a PVOH copolymer. The food-container-covering film (10), which can be applied to the plastic food container (1) in order to close the opening (4) by sealing, welding or adhesion, comprises a cellulose-containing layer which is coated with PVOH, or a PVOH polymer blend layer.

Biodegradable material for additive manufacturing

Disclosed is an additive manufacture material made from polymers and designed to be biodegradable in a landfill or oceanic environment. The material may be made of bio-based polymers made from caster beans, cellulose, corn, starch, sugarcane, etc., such as nylon 11, bio-based polyethylene, polylactic acid, polyhydroxyalkanote, polyvinyl acetate, etc., to which is added microorganism, such as a bacteria, an enzyme or other additive to facilitate/accelerate the decomposition of the polymer in an environment where the object made through AM has been disposed, e.g., discarded after useful life. The microorganism or other additives that facilitate/accelerate the decomposition of polymers can also be added to petroleum-based, non bio-based polymers.

BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITIONS AND ARTICLES MADE FROM CELLULOSE ACETATE

Thermoformable and biodegradable cellulose acetate compositions comprising at least one cellulose acetate at least one plasticizer, and at least one additional component chosen from a filler, additive, biodegradable polymer, stabilizer, or odor modifier are disclosed. The compositions are formed into films, sheets, and articles.

BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER PARTICULATES AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

Compositions include a plurality of polymer particulates comprising a matrix polymer and one or more types of nanoparticles selected from the group consisting of biopolymer nanoparticles, biomineral nanoparticles excluding biomineralized silica alone, and any combination thereof. Illustrative examples of such nanoparticles may include cellulose nanoparticles, hydroxyapatite nanoparticles, or any combination thereof associated with the matrix polymer. The polymer particulates may be prepared by melt emulsification. Methods include depositing such polymer particulates in a powder bed; and heating a portion of the powder bed to consolidate a portion of the polymer particulates into a consolidated part having a specified shape. The matrix polymer may be biodegradable and lose at least about 40% mass in six days in a phosphate buffer solution (0.2 M, pH 7.0) containing 0.2 mg/mL of lipase obtained from Pseudomonas cepacia (≥30 U/mg) and incubated at 37° C.
