ISOINDOLINE DERIVATIVES
An isoindoline derivative of formula
##STR00001##
wherein
X is N, C—CN or C—COR.sup.2;
Y is a radical having an acidic group or a basic group;
R.sup.1 is independently from one another halogen or C.sub.1-C.sub.4-alkyl, said alkyl is unsubstituted or substituted with halogen;
R.sup.2 is C.sub.1-C.sub.4-alkyl, said alkyl is unsubstituted or substituted with halogen; and
n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4,
with the proviso that Y does not include an acidic group if X is C—CN or C—COR.sup.2, and compositions containing the same are provided. The isoindoline derivative and the pigment composition are suitable, for example, for coloring high molecular mass organic material, especially paints, printing inks, resist formulations for color filter applications, electrophotographic toners, cosmetics, plastics, films or fibers.
Modified colorants and inkjet ink compositions comprising modified colorants
The present invention relates to a modified colorant comprising a colorant having at least one polymer attached or adsorbed thereto. The polymer comprises at least one functional group, and various embodiments of the functional group are disclosed. For each of these embodiments, preferably the functional group has a defined calcium index value. Also disclosed are various uses for these modified colorants, including inkjet ink compositions. Thus, the present invention further relates to an inkjet ink composition comprising a) a liquid vehicle, b) at least one colorant, and c) at least one polymer comprising at least one functional group as described herein.
GARDENIA BLUE PIGMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
An object of the present invention is to provide a gardenia blue pigment that can stably maintain the color tone even after heating under acidic conditions, and a method for producing the gardenia blue pigment. A gardenia blue pigment that can stably maintain the color tone even after heating under acidic conditions is obtained by carrying out the following first and second steps: the first step of reacting walnut peptide, bitter melon peptide, and/or soy peptide with genipin in a solvent without the supply of a gas containing oxygen; and the second step of treating the reaction solution obtained in the first step with the supply of a gas containing oxygen.
Gardenia pigment preparation
Provided is a Gardenia pigment preparation that can stably maintain a dissolved state of Gardenia blue pigment in an acidic range. The Gardenia pigment preparation comprises Gardenia blue pigment and lecithin.
REPORTER AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a fluorescent reporter exhibiting luminescence at an excited energy level as well as labeling a nucleic acid including DNA, and various uses thereof.
Disperse Dye Color Paste for Waterless Dyeing, and Preparation Method and Application Thereof
The invention provides a disperse dye color paste for waterless dyeing, which comprises, by weight, 10%-40% of disperse dye filter cakes, 2%-35% of a dispersant, 5%-20% of a dyeing auxiliary, 0.1-0.5% of a surfactant, and 20%-88% of a solvent. The disperse dye color paste for waterless dyeing of the invention has a small particle size; and after waterless dyeing, a textile does not contain cleavable carcinogenic aromatic amine azo dyes, allergenic dyes, forbidden aromatic amine or bioactive substances. The disperse dye color paste for waterless dyeing of the invention can be stably stored for 6-12 months which is beneficial to the transportation of dyes and the production management of dyeing factories. Moreover, a dyeing effect featuring a high fixation rate is realized after the disperse dye color paste for waterless dyeing is applied to textiles.
Zirconium doped terbium nano oxides for wastewater remediation
Zirconium doped terbium nano oxides (ZrTb.sub.2O.sub.3). The nano oxides can have an average diameter ranging from about 17 nm to about 22 nm. The nano oxides can be used as a photocatalyst for photodegradation of organic dyes. In an embodiment, the organic dyes include textile wastewater dyes. In an embodiment, the textile wastewater dyes include methylene blue (MB) and/or Congo Red (CR). In an embodiment, the zirconium doped terbium nano oxides (ZrTb.sub.2O.sub.3) can be prepared by a dual co-precipitation and calcination method.
