PROCESS FOR PURIFYING LEUCOINDIGO SALT SOLUTIONS USING AN INERT GAS
20230123640 · 2023-04-20 ·

The present invention refers to a process for purifying leucoindigo salt solutions, for removal of aromatic amines, particularly aniline and N-methylaniline, comprising: adding to a purification vessel a leucoindigo salt solution containing aromatic amines, said solution in the form of a stationary mass; bubbling with a controlled flow rate an inert gas in the purification vessel, by means of a device submerged at the surface of the stationary mass; injecting with a controlled flow rate a gas purification current into the vessel, by means of a device submerged at the stationary mass; and recovering the purified solution from the vessel. It also refers to the use of inert gas in a process for purifying leucoindigo salt solutions, acting as a gas anti-foaming agent, to reduce foam and chances of product stripping during processing.

20230250368 · 2023-08-10 ·

A disinfectant system comprises a first part comprising a first reagent in a carrier medium; and a second part which is miscible with the first part and which comprises a second reagent in a carrier medium. The first reagent and the second reagent will react when mixed to provide a chlorine dioxide disinfecting composition. The first part or the second part further comprises an anthocyanin, anthocyanidin or betanin dyestuff, which oxidises in the presence of chlorine dioxide to produce a visible colour change upon mixing of the first reagent with the second reagent, and the colour change does not occur upon exposure of the dyestuff-containing part to a disinfecting composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and/or peracetic acid.

Leucodye (such as leucoindigo) as dispersing aid

An electrolytic dye reduction method comprises preparing a catholyte by dispersing a dye in a leucodye comprising electrolyte. In a preferred method the leucodye like leucoindigo is the sole dispersing aid.
