COMPOSITIONS FOR ADHESIVE APPLICATIONS

The present teachings contemplate a method comprising coating a poly(vinyl chloride) material with a composition including a dicarbonyl compound, a cyanoacrylate compound, or a combination thereof and a viscosity modifying agent so that the composition has a viscosity of from about 50 cps to about 2500 cps; wherein the coated poly(vinyl chloride) material is capable of adhering to a second material without the use of a primer.

Conductive polymers with reduced radiative transport and emissivity for insulating materials

An insulation useful in the field of building materials, refrigeration, cryogenics, and shipping. The insulation has reduced radiative heat transfer by applying coating to the insulation material in order to alter the emissivity, including the infrared electromagnetic spectrum.

CYANOACRYLATE COMPOSITIONS

Cyanoacrylate compositions are provided, which when cured provide improved hot strength performance without compromising thermal resistance performance.

Apparatus and method for a temperature released adhesive structure for use with bandages

An adhesive article that remains securely bonded to a substrate until a stimuli is applied. The article may be embodied as an adhesive tape, a bandage, or as other articles. The stimuli may be a change in temperature or application of a reduction that causes a structure within the article to break, creak, or otherwise disrupt to expose the adhesive to a solvent, such as via a difference in Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) or by exposing the article to a glass transition temperature.
