PRE-FORMED ADHESIVE FILM AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
20230039559 · 2023-02-09 ·

A method for pre-forming adhesive films before applying such films to curved and/or irregular shapes inside an aircraft. Adhesive film blanks with antimicrobial properties are pre-formed using a contoured manufacturing mold. The adhesive film blank has been created to match the shape of the airline interior component to which such adhesive film will be applied. The adhesive film blank is pre-formed by placing it in the contoured manufacturing mold, applying heat for a specified time and at a specified pressure. After being pre-formed in the manufacturing mold, the pre-formed adhesive film is applied to a specific interior component. Commercial aircraft interior components may include, but are not limited to, items such as overhead stowage bins, sidewall panels, ceiling panels, monuments, lavatories, closets, handles, tray tables, galley surfaces, and any other appropriate high touch interior surfaces that benefit from application of a pre-formed adhesive film.

AIR AND WATER BARRIER ARTICLES

There are provided rolls comprising an air and water barrier article having opposing first and second major surfaces, a pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on at least the first major surface of the article, and a liner having a first major surface that contacts the opposing second major surface of the article, and at least two adhesion modifying zones disposed between the second major surface of the article and the first major surface of the liner, wherein both of a first and second adhesion modifying zones contact the first major surface of the liner, and wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive contacts a second major surface of the liner when wound in the roll. There are also provided films made using these air and water barrier articles and building envelopes made using such films.

A duplex label. The duplex label has a first face ply having a printable upper side and a lower side, and a second face ply having an upper side and a printable lower side. A layer of patterned adhesive is situated underneath the lower side of the first face ply. A displaceable liner coating comprising an enabler, a facilitator, and a stabilizer is formulated, and the layer of patterned adhesive is covered with the displaceable liner coating. The displaceable liner coating is activated by bringing the displaceable liner coating in contact with a fluid. The second face ply is secured to the first face ply using the activated displaceable liner coating such that the printable upper side faces away from the printable lower side. The first face ply is secured to the substrate, and the second face ply is sandwiched between the first face ply and the substrate.

DOT BONDING SHOE INSOLE USING ADHESIVE RESIN MIXED WITH HYDROPHOBIC NANO- SILICA AND MANUFACTURING THEREOF
20230218041 · 2023-07-13 ·

A present invention related to a method for manufacturing a dot bonding shoe insole using an adhesive resin containing hydrophobic nano-silica, including: melting adhesive resin made of any one selected from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) or ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) containing hydrophobic nano-silica in the range of 0.2 to 5 phr and applying to the surface of the transfer roller in which the intaglio dot pattern is formed in a mesh shape in the shape of the shoe insole;

removing the adhesive resin applied other area than the intaglio dot pattern of the surface of the transfer roller;
transferring the adhesive resin applied to the intaglio dot pattern of the surface of the transfer roller to either one of the foam or the fabric;
bonding the foam and the fabric by compressing; and
cutting a shoe insole shape in a package in which the foam and the fabric are bonded.
