SEALANT MATERIAL
A sealant material for sealing joints between male and female mating parts comprising: (a) an elongate flexible thread suitable for wrapping around at least one of the parts, and (b) a joint sealing composition comprising an anaerobically curable composition in solid form,
the flexible thread being coated with the anaerobically curable composition. This provides a reactive composition on the thread for sealing joints.

Gas seal member for high-pressure hydrogen device, and high-pressure hydrogen device
Disclosed is a gas seal member for high-pressure hydrogen device with sufficiently reduced occurrence of both swelling destruction and blister destruction. The gas seal member is formed of a cross-linked product of an elastomer composition which comprises an elastomer and fibrous carbon nanostructures, wherein a hydrogen diffusion coefficient D1 of a cross-linked product of an elastomer component including the elastomer and a hydrogen diffusion coefficient D2 of the cross-linked product of the elastomer composition satisfy the relationship 0.7<D2/D1<1.0.
SEALANT MATERIAL
A sealant material for sealing threaded pipe joints that is a multifilament or spun polyphenylene sulfide yarn and a joint sealing composition comprising a silicone oil or a natural oil with a smoke point of about 230° C. or higher. The polyphenylene sulfide yarn is coated with the joint sealant composition. The material forms an effective seal and is resistant even when used in systems in which it is exposed to temperatures in excess of 280° C. The material may be provided in a dispenser.
SEALANT MATERIAL
Use of a sealing material which is a multifilament or spun yarn coated with a joint sealing composition to seal a joint in a pipe system in which system a fluid having corrosion inhibitors such as diammonium dimolybdate or benzotriazole; and/or sludge removers; and/or an alcohol such as propane diol, or ethylene glycol; and/or a hydrocarbon such as diesel, including biodiesel, fuel oil, or hydraulic oil; and/or steam at a temperature of at least 180° C. and a pressure of at least 10 bar (1000 kPa); is to be passed through the sealed joint. It is surprising that the sealing materials of the invention can maintain a sealed joint despite exposure to such materials.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEALING PIPELINES
The present invention provides systems and methods for curing at least one leakage in a pipeline, the system including at least one fiber-in-sealant-in carrier fluid (FISIC) composition and at least one gel pig composition; wherein the at least one FISIC composition and the at least one gel pig form a pig train, are adapted to move along the pipeline to a region of the leakage and to seal and cure the at least one leakage.
Self-healing water-swellable hydraulic seal
A self-healing hydraulic seal is provided. The self-healing hydraulic seal is prepared from a water-swellable elastomeric composition comprising a base polymer and a plant-based polysaccharide.
MULTILAYER STRUCTURE FOR TRANSPORTING OR STORING HYDROGEN
The use of a sealing layer of a composition including at least one polyamide for preparing a multicore structure intended for the transport, distribution or storage of hydrogen, in particular for the distribution or storage of hydrogen, especially for the storage of hydrogen, the sealing layer satisfying a test for contaminants present in the hydrogen and extracted from the sealing layer after contact of the hydrogen with same, the test been carried out as defined in the standard CSA/ANSI CHMC 2: 19, the total proportion of said contaminants extracted in the hydrogen being less than or equal to 3% by weight, in particular less than 2% by weight of the sum of the constituents of the composition.
SELF-HEALING WATER-SWELLABLE HYDRAULIC SEAL
A self-healing hydraulic seal is provided. The self-healing hydraulic seal is prepared from a water-swellable elastomeric composition comprising a base polymer and a plant-based polysaccharide.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING AND/OR STRENGTHENING A POROUS STRUCTURE, AND UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON FIBER MATERIAL FOR USE THEREWITH
A system and method for repairing and/or strengthening a structure. The system may include an epoxy paste filler, a primer, an saturant/bonding adhesive, and a unidirectional carbon fiber. The method may include application of a paste filler, a primer, a bonding saturant and a unidirectional carbon fiber. The carbon fiber may be applied between application of a first bonding saturant layer and a second bonding saturant layer. The amount and/or length of the unidirectional carbon fiber may be based on the type of damage (e.g., the type and/or location of a crack) to the structure.
