CLEAN-BURNING AVIATION GASOLINE ADDITIVE TO ELIMINATE VALVE SEAT RECESSION AND DEPOSITS
A fuel additive for fuel formulations comprising calcium sulfonates in an amount effective to limit or eliminate valve seat recession in engines utilizing such fuel formulations. The fuel additive may also include a detergent, particularly in an amount to enhance the VSR limiting effect of the calcium sulfonates. Also included are fuel formulations containing calcium sulfonates in a concentration effective to limit vale seat recession in engines utilizing the fuel formulations. Methods for treating VSR in piston engines are also provided.
METHOD AND USE
A diesel fuel composition comprising as an additive an ester compound which is the reaction product of a polyhydric alcohol of formula H(OR).sub.nOH and at least 1.5 molar equivalents of an optionally substituted polycarboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof, wherein R is an optionally substituted alkylene group and n is at least 1.

ORGANIC AMMONIUM SALTS WITH TRACEABILITY AND DETERGENT DISPERSANT PROPERTIES TO LIQUID FUELS AND PROCESSES FOR THEIR SYNTHESIS
The present invention is related to a process for obtaining organic ammonium salts (OAS) and their derivatives, supramolecular surfactants (SS), which simultaneously present the properties of traceability and detergents dispersant of organic scales. Organic ammonium salts (OAS) and their derivatives supramolecular surfactants (SS) have applications as differentiators, markers, or tracers in fuels derived from hydrocarbons; and also to disperse organic scales or inhibit the gums precipitation both in injectors and intake valves of automotive vehicle engines. Organic ammonium salts (OAS) are obtained through an acid-base reaction between a molecule from the azo family and an amine. Once the OAS is obtained, it reacts with an organic compound (OC) so that through non-covalent interactions, a self-assembly process occurs that gives rise to the SS. Said process is based on green chemistry, that is, in the absence of solvents. These OAS and SS are quantified through the analytical techniques of ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) through a calibration curve. Additionally, its performance as a gum-dispersing agent in a single-cylinder engine is evaluated.

SOLID ADDITION-TYPE DIESEL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ANTI-SMOKE ADDITIVE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
The present invention provides a solid addition-type diesel environmental protection anti-smoke additive and a method for preparing the same. The additive includes a solvent, vinyl ferrocene, and vinyl acetate. The method includes the following steps: under the condition that nitrogen is introduced to completely replace air, adding to a high-pressure reactor the solvent, vinyl ferrocene, vinyl acetate, and a free radical initiator; starting stirring to introduce a high-pressure vinyl monomer; polymerizing and synthesizing a free radical into a crude product of a diesel anti-smoke oxidant; under the condition of the constant temperature of a system, completing reaction when a pressure is not changed for 60 min; cooling down a reaction product to a room temperature and releasing the pressure to an atmospheric pressure to obtain the crude product; and performing atmospheric distillation for the crude product to remove a petroleum ether and an unreacted raw material from the crude product.
