LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lubricating oil composition capable of achieving good wear resistance and good scoring resistance of a bearing in addition to further fuel saving while maintaining durability and seizure resistance that can be used as a gear oil for a high-output, high-speed gear mechanism. A lubricating oil composition containing a combination of Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil having a low kinematic viscosity at high temperature, polyalphaolefin having a high kinematic viscosity at high temperature, and ester compound of a trivalent or higher polyol having a low kinematic viscosity at high temperature, and further contains a partial ester compound of an unsaturated fatty acid and a polyol, including a monoester compound of the unsaturated fatty acid and the polyol.
LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR LIMITING FRICTION
The present application relates to a lubricant composition comprising, in relation to the total weight of the lubricant composition at least one base oil; 0.005 to 10% by weight of at least one polymeric organic friction modifier; and 0.005 to 10% by weight of at least one ester said polymeric organic friction modifier is a compound of formula (I):

LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR LIMITING FRICTION
A lubricant composition comprising, in relation to the total weight of the lubricant composition:
at least one base oil;
0.005 to 10% by weight of at least one polymeric organic friction modifier; and
0.005 to 10% by weight of at least one ester, said polymeric organic friction modifier being the reaction product of: a) at least one hydrophobic polymer subunit which comprises a hydrophobic polymer selected from polyolefins, polyacrylics and polystyrenes; b) at least one hydrophilic polymer subunit which comprises a hydrophilic polymer selected from polyethers, polyesters and polyamides; c) optionally at least one backbone moiety capable of linking polymeric subunits together; and d) optionally a chain termination group.
Low Viscosity Functional Fluid Composition
This invention relates to a functional fluid, comprising (A) from 70 to 90, preferably 75-87 wt.-% of alkoxy glycol according to formula (I) CH.sub.3—O—(CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—O).sub.n—H wherein n is a number from 2 to 5, with the proviso that in at least 30 wt.-% of all compounds according to formula (I) n is 3, and that 15 to 65 wt.-% of all compounds according to formula (I) have n=4 or 5, and (B) less than 1.0 wt.-% of alkoxy glycol according to formula (II) R.sub.1—O—(CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—O).sub.m—H wherein R.sub.1 is a C.sub.2 to C.sub.8 alkyl residue, m is a number from 2 to 6, (C) from 8 to 25, preferably 12-23 wt.-% of at least one compound according to formula (III) H—O—(CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—O).sub.k—H wherein k is a number of 2 or higher, with the proviso that in at least 80 wt.-% of all compounds according to formula (III) k is 2 or 3, (D) at least one additive, selected from the group consisting of corrosion inhibitors, alkalinity agents, aging protection agents, defoamers and lubricants, the lubricants being selected from the group consisting of propylene oxide containing alkylene oxide polymers that are optionally substituted with a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group, triglycerides, castor oil, ricinoleic acid, and ethoxylates of castor oil or ricinoleic acid, and mixtures thereof, the fluid comprising at most 3 wt.-% of an ester between boric acid and a glycol or alkylpolyglycol compound.
Lubricant composition for a gas engine
Disclosed is a method of lubricating a gas engine using a lubricant including at least one mineral base oil and at least one ester selected from among the polyol esters. The composition includes at least 50% by weight of mineral base oil and at least 5% by weight of polyol ester relative to the total weight of the lubricant composition.
Grease composition
An object of the present invention is to provide a grease composition which has little influence on the environment and has good rust prevention and water resistance against salt water such as sea water. The grease composition comprises a biodegradable base oil and a rust-preventive agent comprising a calcium sulfonate complex and a sorbitan fatty acid ester, wherein a total content of biodegradable organic substances in the grease composition is 75% by mass or more, and wherein a content of the rust-preventive agent is 2.5 to 30% by mass.
Engine oil lubricant compositions and methods for making same with superior engine wear protection and corrosion protection
Provided is an engine oil lubricant composition with improved fuel efficiency and engine wear protection. The lubricant composition may include a major amount of an oil basestock from any one or more Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV or Group V base oils. The resulting engine oil lubricant composition may have a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6 cSt or less, and a corrosion protection of at least 90, as measured according the ASTM D6557 Ball Rust Test. The resulting engine oil lubricant composition may also have a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6 cSt or less, an HTHS (ASTM D4683) of less than or equal to 2.2 cP at 150° C. and a FZG failure load stage of at least 6, as measured by the FZG A10/16.6R/130 test procedure.
Composition for cooling and lubricating a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle
The present invention relates to the use, for cooling and lubricating a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle, of a composition comprising: (i) at least one base oil; and (ii) at least one diester of formula R.sup.a—C(O)—O—([C((R).sub.2)].sub.n—O).sub.s—C(O)—R.sup.b (I), different than the base oil (i). The invention also relates to a method of cooling and lubricating a propulsion system of an electric or hybrid vehicle comprising at least one step of bringing at least one mechanical component of said system into contact with a composition as defined above.
