A diesel fuel lubricant as a replacement for sulfur lubrication in Ultra-Low and Low Sulfur Diesel fuels, the process for producing said lubricant, and the method of using said lubricant. This lubricant comprises alpha-olefins; low odor aromatic solvents; and at least one a base oil selected from the base oil group consisting of hydroisomerized high base oils and HT Severe Hydro-cracked Base Oils; as well as other ingredients. Also disclosed is a method for producing this lubricant.

An overbased calcium magnesium sulfonate grease composition and method of making such grease without using any conventional non-aqueous converting agents, such as hexylene glycol, as a pre-conversion ingredient. The addition of magnesium sulfonate as an ingredient prior to conversion appears to act as a new, non-conventional converting agent, resulting in greases with improved thickener yield and excellent dropping point.

A process for the preparation of a composition comprising amine-containing phosphate glycerides including: phosphorylating a solution which comprises mixed glycerides that contain fatty acid portions and an amine under conditions which are substantially water-free and under which said phosphorous pentoxide reacts with reactive constituents in said solution to form said amine-containing phosphate glycerides and a lubricating composition comprising a lubricant, the aforesaid composition in an amount which improves the properties of the lubricating composition, and optionally one or more other constituents which improve the properties of the lubricating composition.

The present invention relates to lubricant compositions that are especially suitable for the lubrication of turbines or (turbo)compressors which serve to compress chlorine and/or chlorinated products. A gun oil composition adapted specifically for the needs and requirements of modern firearms. The gun oil composition improves lubricity and gun performance under normal and extreme heat and pressure, minimizes and largely prevents the build-up of carbon and debris fouling on metal and non-metal components of the firearm, and substantially reduces cleaning time, while providing increased protection against environmental components such as dust, dirt and rust. The gun oil composition can include a base oil having at least a high viscosity index, an oil having at least a medium viscosity index with a detergent additive, a low viscosity penetrating oil, and a sulfurized ester.

A lubricating fluid includes a blend of at least two isomers of hydrogenated linear AMS dimers, one of which is a hydrogenated linear AMS dimer having a formula of 2,4-dicyclohexyl-2-methylpentane and another of which is a hydrogenated linear AMS dimer (HLD) isomer having a formula of 1,4-dicyclohexyl-4-methylpentane. The blend reduces viscosities at low temperatures (0 C. and lower), without severely lowering high shear stress EHD shear strength (or traction coefficients), and further inhibits foaming issues which are typical in mixtures of very different fluids such as silicones and hydrocarbons combinations.
