A lubricating oil composition, containing a base oil (A), a metal-based detergent (B), and a molybdenum compound (D), the lubricating oil composition having a content of molybdenum atoms derived from the molybdenum compound (D) of 0.05% by mass or more, a base number of 4.0 mg KOH/g or more, and an HTHS viscosity at 150° C. of 1.3 mPa.Math.s or more and less than 2.3 mPa.Math.s.

Disclosed is a lubricant composition including: at least one base oil; at least one olefin copolymer; at least one detergent; and at least one hydrogenated and linear styrene/butadiene copolymer. Also disclosed is the use of this composition for reducing the fuel consumption of an engine and for improving the cleanliness of a 4-stroke or 2-stroke, preferably 4-stroke marine engine, or of a stationary engine.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITIONS
A crankcase lubricating oil composition for the crankcase of a spark-ignited or compression-ignited internal combustion engine, comprising a magnesium-containing detergent, in an amount sufficient to provide from 200-4000 ppm magnesium to the lubricating oil composition, in combination with an oil-soluble or oil-dispersible molybdenum compound in an amount sufficient to provide from 600-1500 ppm molybdenum atoms to the lubricating oil composition, and with an oil-soluble or oil-dispersible boron-containing compound in an amount sufficient to provide from 200-600 ppm boron atoms to the lubricating oil composition to improve the friction and fuel economy performance.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lubricating oil composition capable of achieving good wear resistance and good scoring resistance of a bearing in addition to further fuel saving while maintaining durability and seizure resistance that can be used as a gear oil for a high-output, high-speed gear mechanism. A lubricating oil composition containing a combination of Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil having a low kinematic viscosity at high temperature, polyalphaolefin having a high kinematic viscosity at high temperature, and ester compound of a trivalent or higher polyol having a low kinematic viscosity at high temperature, and further contains a partial ester compound of an unsaturated fatty acid and a polyol, including a monoester compound of the unsaturated fatty acid and the polyol.

This disclosure describes blends of detergent and antiwear lubricating additives and lubricants including such additive blends effective to reduce high-temperature deposits, and in particular, high-temperature deposits in low ash compositions.

A composition is obtained by mixing at least one oligomer A1, which is obtained by copolymerizing at least two monomers functionalized by diol functions with at least one second monomer, with at least one compound A2 having at least two boron ester functions. Engine oil lubricant compositions and methods for making same with superior engine wear protection and corrosion protection
Provided is an engine oil lubricant composition with improved fuel efficiency and engine wear protection. The lubricant composition may include a major amount of an oil basestock from any one or more Group I, Group II, Group III, Group IV or Group V base oils. The resulting engine oil lubricant composition may have a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6 cSt or less, and a corrosion protection of at least 90, as measured according the ASTM D6557 Ball Rust Test. The resulting engine oil lubricant composition may also have a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6 cSt or less, an HTHS (ASTM D4683) of less than or equal to 2.2 cP at 150° C. and a FZG failure load stage of at least 6, as measured by the FZG A10/16.6R/130 test procedure.
