METHOD FOR EXTRACTING HIGH-QUALITY KRILL OIL FROM KRILL

A method for extracting high-quality krill oil from krill includes the following steps: S1. performing extraction on krill with an organic solvent, and collecting an extracting solution; S2. adding alkaline water to the extracting solution to enable a free fatty acid to form a fatty acid salt to be separated from an oil phase, and performing oil-water phase separation and collecting the oil phase; and S3. purifying the oil phase to obtain the high-quality krill oil. In the present application, the preparation process for krill oil is optimized, organic solvent extraction and alkali refining are ingeniously combined, and process parameters are adjusted and optimized, thereby reducing the acid value of krill oil, and also ensuring the content of active ingredients such as phospholipid and astaxanthin in krill oil to the greatest extent, and improving the quality of krill oil.

Oilseed extraction method

The present disclosure provides for improved oilseed extraction methods using sequential extractions with polar solvents and non-polar solvents or extractions with an azeotrope of a polar solvent and a non-polar solvent to produce oilseed meal concentrates having increased protein content and reduced soluble carbohydrate and anti-nutritional compound content.

The invention provides systems and methods for the automation of the extraction of a liquid substance from a material. The disclosed systems include multiple tanks and valves under computer control providing for the safe transport of a solvent through the material under computer control. Solvent transport is accomplished by heating and/or cooling selected tanks or vessels to cause the solvent to evaporate or condense as desired. Tank and/or solvent heating and cooling is controlled automatically. Thus, in all embodiments the use of external pumps can be avoided.

METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR INDUSTRIALLY OBTAINING RAPE CORE OIL AND RAPE PROTEIN CONCENTRATE FROM RAPESEED
20220081642 · 2022-03-17 ·

In industrial processing, grains of rapeseed are dehulled. Cold-pressed rapeseed core oil is pressed from a low-hull grain fraction having at most 4 weight percent of hulls. In a press cake being generated, the cake temperature is limited to 70° C., and a first residual oil content is reduced to 8 to 28 weight percent of the dry matter. Pressurized steam is supplied, and the press cake is subsequently expanded to form collets. The steam is metered such that the press cake is temporarily heated to above 100° C. and the collets have a temperature of 80° C. to 95° C. after the expansion. The collets are extracted with an organic solvent, a second residual oil content being reduced to 2 weight percent or less of the dry matter. After the expansion, some of the collets are returned and mixed with the low-hull grain fraction in order to increase the friction when being pressed.

PROCESS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF OIL-SOLUBLE COMPONENTS FROM PLANT MATERIAL
20210189287 · 2021-06-24 · ·

The invention is directed to a process for the extraction of one or more oil-soluble components from plant material, to an oil comprising one or more oil-soluble components from plant material, preferably obtainable by the process of the invention, a physiologically acceptable product comprising the oil, and to the use of plant material.

The process of the invention comprises: a) providing oil and plant material; b) heating the oil to a temperature of 10-80° C., preferably 50-80° C.; c) contacting the oil with the plant material while the oil and plant material are in motion relative to each other, thereby extracting one or more oil-soluble components from said plant material; d) replacing plant material with new plant material during the extraction process, and e) collecting said oil when the concentration of the one or more oil-soluble components has reached a desired level.

Process for manufacturing cannabidiol

A process for producing cannabidiol from hemp and cannabis plants is disclosed. The steps of the process include the steps of: plant conditioning and size reduction, infusing with an extraction agent, separating a solid biomass and a liquid phase, treating the liquid phase with a removal agent, decarboxylation, removal of impurities; and color removal. The resulting cannabidiol conversion efficiency is over 90% and a TCH content within the legal limits for commercial cannabidiol.

Extractor having a solvent drainage zone

An immersion extractor may have a housing that maintains a solvent pool in which solids material being processed is immersed during operation. One or more bed decks can be positioned inside of the housing to provide multiple extraction stages. In some examples, a final bed deck extends from below a solvent level maintained in the housing to above the solvent level such that solids material is conveyed out of the solvent pool and toward a feed outlet at the end of extraction. The bed deck may include a drainage section positioned between the top of the solvent level in the extractor and the feed outlet, allowing solvent to drain out of the solids material before being discharged through the feed outlet, thereby increasing the efficiency of the extraction process.
