CULTURE PRODUCT OF MICROORGANISM BELONGING TO THE GENUS WICKERHAMOMYCES
A culture product comprising a large quantity of ethyl benzoate and has a more complex and fresher fruity aroma than a chemically synthesized product.
The culture product is obtained by culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus Wickerhamomyces in a milk component-containing culture medium.
PHOTOLABILE ACETAL AND KETAL COMPOUNDS FOR THE CONTROLLED RELEASE OF ACTIVE VOLATILE CARBONYL COMPOUNDS
The present invention relates to a delivery system based on photosensitive acetal or ketal compounds capable of liberating upon exposure to light an active volatile carbonyl compound in a controlled manner from a surface into the surrounding. The delivery system can be used to release active substances such as flavors, fragrances, malodor counteractants, insect attractants or insect repellents. The invention also relates to the use of said acetal or ketal compounds in perfumery, as well as in perfuming compositions or perfumed consumer articles.
Polymeric composite particles
Compositions are provided that include a matrix and a polymeric composite particles disposed in the matrix. The polymeric composite particles include a porous polymeric core and a fragrance positioned within the porous polymeric core. Polymeric composite particles are also provided including a porous polymeric core, a fragrance positioned within the porous polymeric core, and a coating layer around the porous polymeric core. Further, a method of determining a minimum temperature of a composition is provided including providing a composition including polymeric composite particles disposed in a matrix, heating the composition, releasing at least a portion of the fragrance as a vapor from the porous polymeric core of the polymeric composite particles at or above the minimum temperature, and detecting at least a portion of the fragrance vapor in a location outside of the matrix.
Phytochemical extraction system and methods to extract phytochemicals from plants including plants of the family Cannabaceae sensu stricto
A system of and for extraction or removal of phytochemicals from plants, including those of the plant family Cannabaceae sensu stricto. More specifically, a system for extracting essential oils from plants, such as cannabis, without the use of a solvent.
PHOTOLABILE FRAGRANCE PRECURSOR COMPOUND
The invention relates to specific phenacyl ethers of formula (I), as defined herein, which can be used as photolabile pro-fragrances. The invention further relates to washing and cleaning agents, cosmetic agents, and air freshening agents containing such phenacyl ethers, and a method for the long-lasting scenting of surfaces.
PHYTOCHEMICAL EXTRACTION SYSTEM AND METHODS TO EXTRACT PHYTOCHEMICALS FROM PLANTS INCLUDING PLANTS OF THE FAMILY CANNABACEAE SENSU STRICTO
A method and system of and for extraction or removal of phytochemicals from plants, including those of the plant family Cannabaceae sensu stricto. More specifically, a method and system for extracting essential oils from plants, such as cannabis, without the use of a solvent.
LONG LASTING AND STABLE FRESHENING COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF FRESHENING THE AIR
A freshening composition is provided. The freshening composition includes about 0.02 wt. % to about 1.0 wt. %, based on the weight of the composition, of a sulfur-containing pro-perfume. The freshening composition further includes about 0.2 wt. % to about 1.4 wt. %, based on the weight of the composition, of a perfume mixture, the perfume mixture comprising at least one perfume material selected from the group consisting of: 3-(1,3-Benzodioxol-5-yl)-2-methylpropanal, canthoxal, vanillin, ethyl vanillin, citral, ligustral, cinnamic aldehydes, and combinations thereof. The freshening composition also includes a carrier.
NANO-PARTICULATE CAPSULES AND EMULSIONS THEREOF INCLUDING FRAGRANCE BY EMULSION POLYMERIZATION
A nano-particulate composition comprising nano-particulate capsule comprising at least one or more of hydrophobic core material and a polymeric shell comprising homo-polymer or copolymers of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomers or mixture thereof and having particle size distribution with an average article size in the range of 50 to 1000 nm is provided together with a controlled release delivery system comprising fragrance release delivery system involving said nano-particulate capsule water based emulsion and a process of manufacture thereof. Said delivery system provided is able to protect and release the fragrance in a controlled manner over a period of time. The controlled release fragrance delivery system of the present invention finds advantageous end use and application in fragranced consumer products formulations including water based coating/paint formulations and industrial formulations for use in industries including textile, cosmetics, soaps and detergents, leather industries.
Pro-fragrance compounds
A compound is provided of Formula (I), wherein R.sup.1 represents a C.sub.3 to C.sub.20 hydrocarbon group derived from an alcohol of formula R.sup.1OH, from a formate of formula R.sup.1OCH═O, or a cinnamyl aldehyde of Formula (II) wherein a compound of Formula I is capable of releasing a compound, when oxidized, selected from the group consisting of a fragrant alcohol of formula R.sup.1OH, a fragrant formate ester of formula R.sup.1OCH=0 and aryl aldehyde of Formula (III), wherein R.sup.2 is, independently, hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, optionally substituted C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl group, C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkoxy group, or -0(C=0)CH(CH3).sub.2 wherein any two of R.sup.2 may form an optionally substituted 5 or 6 membered ring. The compounds are useful for example as a precursor for the prolonged delivery or release of fragrant compounds such as fragrant alcohols, fragrant aldehydes or fragrant formates. ##STR00001##
Polysiloxane conjugates as fragrance delivery systems
The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. More particularly, it concerns polymers derived from siloxane derivatives and comprising at least one β-thio carbonyl moiety capable of liberating an active molecule such as, for example, an α,β-unsaturated ketone or aldehyde. The present invention concerns also the use of polymers in perfumery as part of a perfuming or malodor counteracting composition as well as the perfuming compositions or perfumed articles comprising the invention's compounds.
