METHOD OF TREATING A FABRIC WITH DELIVERY PARTICLES
A method of treating a fabric, where the method includes the steps of contacting a fabric with a treatment composition, where the treatment composition comprises a population of delivery particles having a shell that includes a polymeric material that is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and chitosan, and exposing the delivery particles that are on the surface of the fabric to ultraviolet (UV) light. A consumer product that includes such treatment compositions in containers that block or absorb ultraviolet light.
Photoactivators
Photoactivators comprise a photoactive moiety and a hydrophilic moiety. The photoactivators preferably comprise less than about 35%, by weight of the photoactivator, of the photoactive moiety. The photoactivators can be activated to a photo-excited state by excitation with incident radiation of a wavelength between about 350 nm and 750 nm, preferably between about 350 nm and about 420 nm. The photoactivators further encompass those having certain chemical formulations.
METHOD OF LAUNDERING FABRIC
A method of laundering fabric, where the method includes the steps of: (a) in a main washing step, washing soiled fabric with an aqueous wash bath including detersive surfactant and one or more of the following components: perfume, brighteners, hueing dyes, enzymes, or any combination thereof; and (b) in a rinsing step, rinsing the soiled fabric with an aqueous rinsing solution including photo-bleach;
where an artificial light source is present and turned on during at least part of the rinsing step (b) and provides light to the aqueous rinsing solution in such a manner that activates the photo-bleach present in the aqueous rinsing solution, and where the artificial light source is turned off during at least part of the main washing step (a) and does not provide any light to the aqueous wash bath.
METHOD OF LAUNDERING FABRIC
A method of laundering fabric, where the method includes the steps of: (a) in a main washing step, washing soiled fabric with an aqueous wash bath including detersive surfactant and photo-bleach; and (b) in a rinsing step, rinsing the soiled fabric with an aqueous rinsing solution including perfume, where an artificial light source is present and turned on during at least part of the main washing step (a) and provides light to the wash liquor in such a manner that activates the photo-bleach present in the wash liquor, and where the artificial light source is turned off during at least part of the rinsing step (b) and does not provide any light to the aqueous rinsing solution.
PHOTOACTIVATING DEVICE FOR WASHING MACHINE
Provided is a photoactivating device (100) for deployment in a washing machine for activating one or more photoactive components in a laundry treatment composition, comprising: a light source (160) configured for emission of light for activation of the one or more photoactive components; a controller (180), and a switch and/or a motion sensing unit (170), wherein the controller (180) is configured to control the light source (160) responsive to the switch and/or signals received from the motion sensing unit (170).
ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTICANCER CATIONIC PHTHALOCYANINE COMPOUNDS
Substituted phthalocyanines for the generation of singlet oxygen in which one or more of the substituents bear a cationically charged N-alkylated pyridine.
3D PRINTED PARTS MADE BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING USING POST PROCESSING CLEANERS
Provided herein are methods for making 3D printed parts by additive manufacturing using post processing cleaners.
Photosensitive microcapsules
A photosensitive microcapsule having a shell encapsulating a core material. The core material can comprise a benefit agent and the shell can comprise a photosensitive polymer. The photosensitive polymer can include one or more photosensitive moieties having a substituted amine and a 1,3 dione moiety. The core material can be released from the photosensitive microcapsule upon exposure to an electromagnetic radiation field selected from the group consisting of infrared radiation, visible light, ultraviolet radiation and mixtures thereof.
Detergent Containing A Photoactivated Stain Removal Ingredient
The present invention relates to laundry detergents which contain a cross-linked polymer obtained by a) copolymerizing monomers of general formula (I) and of general formula (II), and b) crosslinking the copolymer with a polythiol crosslinker and functionalizing with a compound of general formula (III). The present invention further relates to a process of laundering fabrics with the laundry detergent and irradiating with visible light. This shows improved attack on stains on fabric.
