COLONY ANALYSIS APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING CONTAMINATION LEVEL OF FOOD SUBJECT TO MICROBIAL COLLECTION
Disclosed herein is a colony analysis apparatus, which cultures microorganisms collected from food subject to microbial collection on a plurality of Petri substrates and analyzes colors and the number of the cultured microorganisms by image recognition, thereby accurately determining and analyzing the contamination level of the food subject to microbial collection by an average value of the analysis.
Counting photoactive cells
Cell counting device A cell counting device and a method of using a cell counting device are disclosed. The cell counting device comprises a chamber for receiving a sample, at least one light source to emit light towards a section of the chamber. The section of the chamber comprises a sub-sample of the sample. The cell counting device also comprises a light detector to receive a light emitted from the section of the chamber and to generate an electronic signal associated with the received light, and a controller. The controller is configured to estimate the number of photoactive cells in the sample by calculating the distribution of variable fluorescence [F.sub.v] values of a predetermined number of sub-samples about the mean F.sub.v value.
Cell treatment apparatus and method for treating object to be treated
The present invention provides a cell treatment apparatus capable of treating cells in a cell culture vessel. The cell treatment apparatus 100 according to the present invention includes a first region 1, a second region 3, and a third region 5. The first region 1 and the second region 3 are placed in succession. The first region 1 is a cell treatment chamber for treating cells. The cell treatment chamber can be closed from the outside of the cell treatment chamber and includes a culture vessel placement portion for placing a cell culture vessel. The second region 3 includes: a laser irradiation device capable of irradiating the cell culture vessel placed in the culture vessel placement portion with a laser; and a spot diameter adjustment device that adjusts a spot diameter formed in a portion to be irradiated with the laser in an object to be irradiated. The third region 5 includes a control device that controls at least one device in the cell treatment apparatus 100 and a power supply device 52 that supplies electric power to at least one device in the cell treatment apparatus 100. The culture vessel placement portion is placed to be adjacent to the second region 3 in the cell treatment chamber. An adjacent portion to the second region 3 in the culture vessel placement portion is translucent.

CELL ANALYSIS APPARATUS AND METHOD
A cell analysis apparatus including: a cell image acquisition unit that acquires an image of cells in a culture vessel in which cells are cultured; a smoothing processing unit that smooths luminance values in the image acquired by the cell image acquisition unit; a minimum-value detecting unit that detects minimum values of the luminance values smoothed by the smoothing processing unit; a smallest-minimum-value extracting unit that extracts smallest minimum values which are the smallest in regions according to the sizes of the cells, from the minimum values detected by the minimum-value detecting unit; a counting unit that counts the number of smallest minimum values extracted by the smallest-minimum-value extracting unit; and a cell-count calculating unit that calculates the number of cells in the culture vessel on the basis of the number of smallest minimum values counted by the counting unit.
Culture information processing device
A culture information processing device includes: a feature value computing unit that computes growth feature values indicating features of growth characteristics of cells from data acquired in a particular first subculturing process selected from among a plurality of subculturing processes included in a culture period of the cells; a condition setting unit that sets culturing conditions of a second subculturing process one process after the first subculturing process; and an information computing unit that computes, on the basis of the growth feature values computed by the feature value computing unit and the culturing conditions set by the condition setting unit, characteristics-related information related to growth characteristics in the second subculturing process.
Application development environment for biological sample assessment processing
A system and method for developing applications (Apps) for automated assessment and analysis of processed biological samples. Such samples are obtained, combined with nutrient media and incubated. The incubated samples are imaged and the image information is classified according to predetermined criteria. The classified image information is then evaluated according to Apps derived from classified historical image information in a data base. The classified historical image information is compared with the classified image information to provide guidance on further processing of the biological sample through Apps tailored to process provide sample process guidance tailored to the classifications assigned to the image information.
