BIOREACTOR FOR THE CULTIVATION OF CELLS
A bioreactor for the cultivation of cells, comprising at least one vessel which is designed to accommodate cells to be cultivated and at least one culture medium in a vessel interior enclosed at least partially by walls of the vessel in relation to an environment, and comprising a movement device which can be connected to a drive unit and at least partially moves the cells to he cultivated or applies a force to same. An elastic element is arranged in the vessel interior, which is configured such that at least one part of the culture medium can he received at least in a region of the elastic element and the cells to he cultivated at least intermittently adhere in and/or on at least sections of the elastic element, and the movement device is designed to at least intermittently deform the elastic element.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC SUBSTANCE AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING ORGANIC SUBSTANCE
A method for producing an organic substance includes a step of passing a synthesis gas G1 discharged from a gasifier 11 through a gas cooling tower 21 to cool the synthesis gas G1 with water sprayed in the gas cooling tower 21, a step of passing the synthesis gas G1 cooled in the gas cooling tower 21 through a filtration-type dust collector 22 and a step of bringing a synthesis gas G2 that has passed through at least the gas cooling tower 21 and the filtration-type dust collector 22 into contact with a microbial catalyst to generate an organic substance.
PRETREATMENT ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A SCRAPING DEVICE
The present disclosure generally relates to a pretreatment arrangement (100) for pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass comprising a reactor vessel (101) extending along a longitudinal center line (102) and having an upstream inlet (103) for receiving biomass and a downstream outlet (104) for discharging biomass. The pretreatment arrangement (100) further comprising a scraping device (108) configured to scrape the interior walls (111) of the reactor vessel (101) and prevent the formation and build-up of deposits.
Static mixer element and reactor comprising a static mixer element
A static mixer or a flow reactor comprising a static mixer for mixing streams of fluid transported through or circulated in a flow reactor is provided. A static mixer element reduces the size of gas bubbles in a liquid for installation in a flow channel, and comprises, a first mixer unit and a second and adjacent mixer unit, which mixer units are displaced relative to each other in the flow direction, such that a through opening in the first mixer unit at least partly faces a surface of the second mixer unit thereby forcing the fluid flow to change direction. Adjacent mixer units have substantially the same height or thickness, and are substantially parallel having a distance between them that may be near zero or up to 10 times the thickness of a mixer unit.
CLOSED PHOTOBIOREACTORS FOR MICROORGANISM CULTIVATION
The disclosed technology, in some embodiments, relates to the field of photobioreactors and more particularly, to photobioreactors having improved internal illumination capabilities.
METHANE SEPARATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems and methods for separating a biogas or other gaseous material into its constituent parts, including solid methane and carbon dioxide, using liquid nitrogen in a processing chamber. The individual parts may be extracted from the processing chamber. Separation and extraction can be performed on a mobile processing plant.
AN APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY HARVESTING A BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCE PRODUCED BY A CULTURED CELL
An apparatus and a method for continuously harvesting a biological substance produced by a cultured cell. An apparatus and a method for continuously harvesting a biological substance produced by a cultured cell using 2 sets of filters having different pore sizes.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR TRANSFECTION AND FOR GENERATION OF CLONAL POPULATIONS OF CELLS
Disclosed herein are cartridges for transfecting cells and/or generating clonal populations of cells comprising: a) a first compartment configured for performing cell transfection, wherein the first compartment comprises a first inlet configured for introduction of a cell sample; b) a second compartment configured for performing cell selection, wherein an inlet of the second compartment is operably coupled to an outlet of the first compartment, and wherein the second compartment further comprises at least one optically-transparent wall and an outlet that is operably coupled to an intermediate cell removal port; and c) a third compartment configured for performing cell expansion, wherein an inlet of the third compartment is operably coupled to the outlet of the second compartment.
FLEXIBLE LID FOR FERMENTATION CONTAINER
A flexible lid may include a body including an upper portion connected approximately perpendicular to a cylindrical sidewall, the body defining a recess and inner wall constructed and arranged to facilitate the attachment of the flexible lid to a container. The flexible lid may include a plurality of ribs integrally formed with the cylindrical sidewall constructed and arranged to facilitate the elastic attachment of the approximately cylindrical sidewall to a container. A floating ball valve may be disposed within the upper portion being constructed and arranged to function as a one-way valve such that escape gases and fluids may escape the container while also preventing environmental fluids and contaminants from passing through the flexible lid into a container.
Reinforced barbed closure
A closure assembly is provided. The closure assembly includes a cap portion, a tubular neck extending from a top surface of the cap portion, and at least one reinforcing member extending between the top surface of the cap portion and an exterior surface of the tubular neck, wherein the cap portion, the tubular neck and the at least one reinforcing member are a unitary integral piece. The closure assembly design provides stability to the tubular neck and the cap portion when a force is applied to either one or both of the tubular neck and the cap portion.
