RECOMBINANT INFLUENZA VIRUS-LIKE PARTICLES (VLPS) PRODUCED IN TRANSGENIC PLANTS

A method for synthesizing influenza virus-like particles (VLPs) within a plant or a portion of a plant is provided. The method involves expression of influenza HA in plants and the purification by size exclusion chromatography. The invention is also directed towards a VLP comprising influenza HA protein and plant lipids. The invention is also directed to a nucleic acid encoding influenza HA as well as vectors. The VLPs may be used to formulate influenza vaccines, or may be used to enrich existing vaccines.

METHOD AND COMPOSITIONS FOR REGULATED ARMORING OF CELLS

Provided herein are compositions and methods for regulating expression of effector molecules using regulatable transcription factors and/or activation inducible promoters.

Recombinant Nucleic Acid Construct Encoding Influenza Peptides and Compositions

The present specification discloses recombinant nucleic acid constructs encoding an immunogenic multiepitope polypeptide comprising two or more polypeptides, recombinant nucleic acid constructs encoding at least two epitopes from two or more internal proteins of influenza virus, compositions comprising such recombinant nucleic acid constructs and methods of eliciting a T cell immune response against an influenza virus in a vertebrate using such recombinant nucleic acid constructs and compositions.

VACCINE COMPOSITIONS, METHODS, AND USES THEREOF

Provided are immunogenic compositions comprising a secreted fusion protein, wherein the secreted fusion protein comprises a soluble influenza or rabies viral antigen joined by in-frame fusion to a C-terminal portion of a collagen which is capable of self-trimerization to form a disulfide bond-linked trimeric fusion protein. Also provided are uses of the immunogenic compositions for generating an immune response against influenza or rabies infection and in a vaccine composition. Also provided are methods for producing the recombinant peptides and proteins, prophylactic, therapeutic, and/or diagnostic methods, and related kits.

H5 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates infected from vaccinated animals, preparation method therefor, and application

Provided are an H5 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates infected from vaccinated animals, a preparation method therefor, and an application. The vaccine strain uses an NA protein of influenza B as a label, and has application value and public health significance for the prevention, control and decontamination of H5 avian influenza.

Disclosed herein are compositions and methods related to mutant viruses, and in particular, mutant influenza viruses. The mutant viruses disclosed herein include a mutant BM2 sequence, and are useful in immunogenic compositions, e.g., as vaccines. Also disclosed herein are methods, compositions and cells for propagating the viral mutants, and methods, devices and compositions related to vaccination.

H7 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates infected from vaccinated animals, preparation method therefor, and application

An H7 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates infected from vaccinated animals, a preparation method therefor, and an application. The highly pathogenic H7 avian influenza not only brings about huge economic losses to the livestock industry, but also seriously threatens public health safety. Conventional H7 avian influenza whole virus inactivated vaccines do have advantages such as being reliable in terms of effect, low in terms of cost and wide in terms of application range, but cannot serologically differentiate infected from vaccinated animals. The present invention uses NA of influenza B as a label to establish a method for constructing an H7 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates infection from vaccination, and may be used for the prevention, control and decontamination of the H7 avian influenza.

H9 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates infected from vaccinated animals, and preparation method therefor

Provided is an application of a label gene sequence in the preparation of an H9 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates influenza A virus infection from vaccination, the label gene sequence containing a DNA sequence for coding an influenza B virus NA protein extracellular region amino acid sequence. Also provided are an H9 avian influenza vaccine strain which differentiates influenza A virus infection from vaccination, a preparation method therefor, and an application.
