COMPOUND DECREASING THE CONCENTRATION OF 2-HYDROXY-GLUTARATE
The present invention relates to a compound decreasing the concentration of 2-hydroxy-glutarate (2HG) in a subject for use in treating, preventing, and/or preventing progression of cardiac remodeling, in particular cardiomyopathy and/or heart failure and to viral particles, compositions, uses and methods related thereto.
METHOD FOR N-BUTANOL PRODUCTION USING HETEROLOGOUS EXPRESSION OF ANAEROBIC PATHWAYS
The present invention relates to a method for the production of n-butanol using a transgenic cell with heterologous expression of 2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase, glutaconate-CoA transferase, (R)-2-hydroxyglutaryl-CoA dehydrogenase, glutaryl CoA dehydrogenase, trans-2-enoyl-CoA reductase (NAD+) and bifunctional aldehyde/alcohol dehydrogenase (NAD+).
In Vitro Bioproduction of Specific Chain Legnth Poly(hydroxyalkanoate) Monomers
An enzymatic process and system are disclosed for producing homogeneous chain length poly hydroxyalkanoate monomers and/or polymers having a chain length of at least eight carbons from a long-chain fatty acid or precursor thereof. The process also results in specific homogenous chain length polyhydroxyalkanoate monomers and/or polymers. The long-chain fatty acid or precursor thereof can be contacted in vitro with an enzyme or a mixture of enzymes to produce the homogeneous chain length polyhydroxyalkanoate.
