RECOMBINANT INFLUENZA VIRUS-LIKE PARTICLES (VLPS) PRODUCED IN TRANSGENIC PLANTS
A method for synthesizing influenza virus-like particles (VLPs) within a plant or a portion of a plant is provided. The method involves expression of influenza HA in plants and the purification by size exclusion chromatography. The invention is also directed towards a VLP comprising influenza HA protein and plant lipids. The invention is also directed to a nucleic acid encoding influenza HA as well as vectors. The VLPs may be used to formulate influenza vaccines, or may be used to enrich existing vaccines.
CHO CELL-DERIVED PROTEIN SECRETORY FACTORS AND EXPRESSION VECTORS COMPRISING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a CHO cell-derived protein secretory factor, an expression cassette in which a nucleic acid sequence encoding the protein secretory factor; and a gene encoding a target protein are operably linked, an expression vector comprising the expression cassette, a transformed cell into which the expression vector is introduced, and a method for producing a target protein using the transformed cell.
E. COLI STRAINS HAVING AN OXIDATIVE CYTOPLASM
This disclosure provides an E. coli strain, which lacks thioredoxin reductase activity encoded by trxB and thioredoxin 1 activity encoded by trxA, and glutathione reductase activity encoded by gor. Said E. coli strain expresses a mutated AhpC protein having glutathione reductase activity and a cytosolic prokaryotic disulfide isomerase. The E. coli strain has an oxidative cytosol and can be used to efficiently produce proteins having disulfide bonds.
Method of producing a mineral wool product comprising a multiple of lamellae and a product of such kind
A method and a mineral wool product include a multiple of lamellae, such as a sandwich panel core. The product includes a plurality of lamellae cut from a mineral wool web, and bonded together by applying an adhesive on the surfaces of two adjacent lamellae to form a web-like product, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one hydrocolloid.
Compositions and Methods for Identification of Membrane Targets for Enhancement of T cell Activity Against Cancer
The present invention includes compositions and methods for identification of membrane targets for enhancement of T cell activity against a disease, disorder or condition, and/or enhancing T cell anti-tumor activity in a subject in need thereof. In some embodiments, the disease is cancer. In further embodiments, the cancer is glioblastoma (GBM) or breast cancer.
Recombinant vector and method for producing recombinant fibroblast growth factor 19 using the same
A recombinant vector according to an embodiment of the present invention may produce fibroblast growth factor 19 (FGF19) having enhanced solubility. The synonymous codon substitution variant fibroblast growth factor 19 (scvhFGF19) and chaperone ΔssDsbC may be simultaneously and independently expressed in a host cell into which the recombinant vector is introduced, thereby it is possible to overexpress the fibroblast growth factor 19 in a soluble state.
EXPRESSION OF MODIFIED PROTEINS IN A PEROXISOME
Disclosed herein include methods and compositions for making proteins in peroxisomes as well as methods of making cells for producing proteins in peroxisomes. Also disclosed herein are cells for producing a protein in a peroxisome, and methods for producing a protein in a eukaryotic cell containing a peroxisome as described herein.
EXPRESSION SYSTEMS, RECOMBINANT CELLS AND USES THEREOF
A transcriptomic analysis of genes consistently upregulated in high producer clones were each evaluated for their ability to increase the production of a protein of interest. The products of these genes (metabolism influencing products (MIP)), such as actin, Erp27, Erp57, Foxa1, PPAR, Ca3, and Tagap, could be sub-categorized into different functional categories such as signaling, protein folding, cytoskeleton organization and cell survival.
DROPLETS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
An object to be achieved by the present in is to prepare a droplet using a protein that has not been known heretofore to form a droplet. The present invention provides a droplet including an assembly of a protein, wherein the protein is a PDI family protein and/or an artificial protein, and contains a thioredoxin-like domain.
