CROSS-FIELD INDUCTION HEATING DEVICE
A transverse field induction heating apparatus for the inductive heating of sheet metal in a rolling mill includes an upper inductor and a lower inductor. The upper inductor includes two adjacently positioned upper partial induction loops which are series-connected and fed an electrical current in opposite directions. The lower inductor includes two adjacently positioned lower partial induction loops which are series-connected and fed an electrical current in opposite directions. The electrical current in both partial induction loops is oriented in an opposing direction. Each of the upper and lower partial induction loop is structured to be moved individually perpendicular to a sheet axis and includes a rounded head positioned adjacent to each other such that the rounded head is shaped as a hammer head.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR HEAT TREATMENT OF STEELS, INCLUDING A WET COOLING
The invention relates to a method and a device for rapidly cooling a metal strip and removing residues present on the strip after this cooling, wherein the residues are formed during a cooling of said metal strip by a non-oxidizing liquid solution for the metal strip and a stripping liquid solution for the oxides present on the surface of the strip, or by a mixture of this liquid solution and a gas.

COLD ROLLED FLAT STEEL PRODUCT FOR PACKAGING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A STEEL FLAT PRODUCT
A cold rolled steel flat product for packaging made of a low carbon steel having a thickness of less than 0.49 mm and a method of making. The steel flat product has a martensite-free microstructure and represents a standard grade for packaging with tensile strengths from 300 to 550 MPa, which can be produced from a cold-rolled steel sheet with a carbon content from 0.01% to 0.1% by weight by inductive annealing of the steel sheet and subsequent water cooling for quenching the recrystallization-annealed steel sheet. To achieve flatness of 5 I-units or less, the induction annealed steel sheet is first primarily cooled in the manufacturing process to a take-off temperature at a rate of less than 1000 K/s, with the take-off temperature being below the transformation temperature of 723° C., and thereafter a secondary cooling by water cooling with a water temperature of less than 80° C. at a rate of more than 1000 K/s.
