Fe-N-C Catalysts Synthesized by Non-Contact Pyrolysis of Gas Phase Iron
Me-N—C catalysts, wherein Me can include a transition metal, Mn, Fe, Co, or a combination of metals with Me-INU moieties located at the exterior surface of the Me-N—C catalysts are produced by a chemical vapor deposition synthesis. The synthesis methods can utilize non-solid-contact pyrolysis wherein a metal salt can be vaporized. Gaseous metal from the vaporized metal salt can displace a metal M from the N—C zeolitic imidazolate framework. The non-solid-contact pyrolysis does not mix solid iron precursors (e.g., Me=Mn, Fe, or Co) with the solid N—C zeolitic imidazolate framework precursors during or before the synthesis, which improves the process compared to conventional methods.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING ANISOTROPIC MAGNETIC POWDER, AND ANISOTROPIC MAGNETIC POWDER
Provided is an anisotropic magnetic powder having a low oxygen concentration, a small average particle size, a narrow particle size distribution, and a high remanence, and a method for producing the anisotropic magnetic powder. The present disclosure relates to a method for producing an anisotropic magnetic powder, including: pretreating an oxide containing Sm and Fe by heat-treating the oxide in a reducing gas atmosphere to obtain a partial oxide; heat-treating the partial oxide in the presence of a reducing agent to obtain alloy particles; nitriding the alloy particles to obtain a nitride; and treating the nitride with an alkali to obtain a magnetic powder.
METHOD OF PRODUCING SmFeN-BASED ANISOTROPIC MAGNETIC POWDER AND SmFeN-BASED ANISOTROPIC MAGNETIC POWDER
A method of producing a SmFeN-based anisotropic magnetic powder is provided, the method including preparing a SmFeN-based anisotropic magnetic powder before dispersing comprising Sm, Fe, W, and N, and dispersing the SmFeN-based anisotropic magnetic powder before dispersing using a resin-coated metal media or a resin-coated ceramic media to obtain a SmFeN-based anisotropic magnetic powder. Also provided is a SmFeN-based anisotropic magnetic powder comprising Sm, Fe, W, and N and having an average particle size of less than 2.5 μm, a residual magnetization σr of not less than 130 emu/g, and an oxygen content of not higher than 0.75% by mass.
SPUTTERING TARGET FOR HEAT-ASSISTED MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
Provided is a sputtering target to be used for forming a granular magnetic thin film in which FePt magnetic grains are isolated by an oxide and which constitutes a heat-assisted magnetic recording medium having enhanced uniaxial magnetic anisotropy, thermal stability, and SNR (signal-to-noise ratio).
The sputtering target for a heat-assisted magnetic recording medium contains an FePt alloy and a nonmagnetic material as main components, where the nonmagnetic material is an oxide having a melting point of 800° C. or higher and 1100° C. or lower.
Method for producing magnetic powder and magnetic powder
A method for producing a magnetic powder includes the steps of: mixing neodymium oxide, boron, and iron to prepare a first mixture; adding and mixing calcium to the first mixture to prepare a second mixture; mixing an alkali metal with the second mixture to prepare a third mixture; and placing a carbon sheet on the third mixture, placing silica sand (SiO.sub.2 sand) thereon, and then heating the same to a temperature of 800° C. to 1100° C.

Disclosed is a new diffusion-bonded powder consisting of an iron powder having 1-5%, preferably 1.5-4% and most preferably 1.5-3.5% by weight of copper particles diffusion bonded to the surfaces of the iron powder particles. The new diffusion bonded powder is suitable for producing components having high sintered density and minimum variation in copper content.
Short-process method for preparing sintered NdFeB magnets with high magnetic properties recycling from NdFeB sludge
The present invention discloses a short process preparation technology of sintered NdFeB magnets from the NdFeB sludge, which relates to a field of recycle technology of NdFeB sludge. The present invention comprises the following steps: water bath distillation of organics in sludge, ultrasonic cleaning, calcium reduction and diffusion, ultrasonic rinsing in a magnetic field and drying, powders mixing and sintering. NdFeB sludge as raw materials was directly prepared from recycled sintered magnets with high magnetic properties. Most of the organics in the sludge could be removed by a vacuum distillation process with stepwise heating. The ultrasonic rinsing process in a magnetic field could effectively remove the remaining organics. The recycled sintered magnets exhibited good maximum energy product [(BH).sub.max] of 35.26 MGOe. The present invention has important features, such as the short processing time, efficient environmental protection, high recycling rate and effective utilization rate of rare earth metals.

Provided are a new, highly magnetically stable magnetic material which has higher saturation magnetization than ferrite-based magnetic materials, and with which problems of eddy current loss and the like can be solved due to higher electric resistivity than that of existing metal-based magnetic materials, and a method for manufacturing the same. A magnetic material powder is obtained by reducing in hydrogen Ni-ferrite nanoparticies obtained by wet synthesis and causing grain growth, while simultaneously causing nanodispersion of an α-(Fe, Ni) phase and an Ni-enriched phase by means of a phase dissociation phenomenon due to disproportional reaction. The powder is sintered to obtain a solid magnetic material.
