COATING OF COMPOSITE WOOD PANELS WITH AMINOPLAST RESIN FILMS FITTED WITH AN ABRASION-RESISTANT, EASY-CLEAN AND HYDROPHOBIC SURFACE
Finishing of decorative and/or overlay papers impregnated with aminoplast resin which are used for coating composite wood panels and form an abrasion-resistant, easy clean and hydrophobic surface, wherein after resin impregnation, the impregnated papers are coated in a second application step with a sol-gel preparation containing dissolved metal alkoxides and fullerene-like nanostructures and nanotubes made of metal disulfides of the metals molybdenum and/or tungsten and, after drying and final condensation, the surfaces are formed in a hydraulic heating press.
Resin compositions, resin molded articles, processes for preparing resin molded articles, and laser direct structuring additives
Provided is a resin composition having higher platability. The resin composition contains at least two kinds of metals and also containing a conductive oxide having a resistivity of 510.sup.3 .Math.cm or less.
Heat shielding material and method for manufacturing the same
A heat shielding material and method for manufacturing thereof is provided. The method for manufacturing the heat shielding material, includes: providing a tungsten oxide precursor solution containing a group VIIIB metal element; drying the tungsten oxide precursor solution to form a dried tungsten oxide precursor; and subjecting the dried tungsten oxide precursor to a reducing gas at a temperature of 100 C. to 500 C. to form a composite tungsten oxide. The heat shielding material includes composite tungsten oxide doped with a group I A or II A metal and halogen, represented by M.sub.xWO.sub.y or M.sub.xWO.sub.yA.sub.z, wherein M refers to at least one of a group I A or II A metal, W refers to tungsten, O refers to oxygen, and A refers to a halogen element. The heat shielding material also includes a group VIIIB metal element.
CORROSION INHIBITOR-INCORPORATED LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDE AND SOL-GEL COATING COMPOSITIONS AND RELATED PROCESSES
A corrosion-resistant coating on an aluminum-containing substrate such as an aluminum substrate, an aluminum alloy substrate (e.g., AA 2024, AA 6061, or AA7075), or other aluminum-containing substrate includes a corrosion inhibitor-incorporated ZnAl layered double hydroxide (LDH) layer and a sol-gel layer. A zinc salt and a corrosion inhibitor (e.g., a salt of an oxyanion of a transition metal such as a vanadate) is dissolved to form a zinc-corrosion inhibitor solution, and the substrate is immersed in or otherwise contacted with the solution to form the corrosion inhibitor-incorporated ZnAl LDH layer on the substrate. A sol-gel composition is applied on the corrosion inhibitor-incorporated ZnAl LDH layer of the substrate to form a sol-gel layer, and the sol-gel layer is cured.
METAL-CONTAINING PHOTOPOLYMER RESINS GENERATED BY REDUCTION OF DISSOLVED METAL SALTS
According to one embodiment, a three-dimensional structure includes: at least one photopolymer having at least one metal dispersed throughout at least portions of a bulk of the structure. The structure is characterized by features having a horizontal and/or vertical feature resolution in a range from several hundred nanometers to several hundred microns. The portions of the bulk throughout which metal is dispersed may optionally be selectively determined. In more embodiments, the structure may have electroless plated metal formed on surfaces thereof, alternatively or in addition to the metal dispersed throughout the bulk of the structure. The electroless plating may be achieved without the use of a surface activation bath. Corresponding methods for forming various embodiments of such three dimensional structures are also disclosed.
