A method for depositing a metal-based coating on a particulate substrate, including: i) preparing a mixture comprising the particulate substrate, a powder comprising a coating metal oxide of one or more of Ti, Al, Zn, Sn, In, Sb, Ag, Co, V, Ni, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Pt, Pd, Ta, Zr, Nb, Rh, Ru, Mo, Os, Re and W, a reducing agent powder of Al metal or Al alloy, and a powder of aluminium chloride; and ii) mixing and heating the mixture to form a coating on the particulate substrate, to produce a coated substrate product.

Cold spraying

A method comprising: cold-spraying a surface of a substrate with a bond material to form a bond coating; and cold-spraying a surface of the bond coating with a coating material to form a top coating. The bond material is different from the coating material and harder than the surface of the substrate.

A high-temperature component made of a refractory metal or a refractory metal alloy, includes a coating for increasing thermal emissivity. The coating is formed substantially of tungsten and rhenium, i.e. of at least 55 wt. % rhenium and at least 10 wt. % tungsten, and has a Re3W phase of at least 35 wt. %. A process for producing a high-temperature component having a coating for increasing thermal emissivity, is also provided.

A method for manufacturing an aluminum circuit board including a step of spraying a heated metal powder containing aluminum particles and/or aluminum alloy particles to a ceramic base material, and of forming a metal layer on a surface of the ceramic base material. A temperature of at least a part of the metal powder is higher than or equal to a softening temperature of the metal powder and lower than or equal to a melting point of the metal powder at a time point of reaching the surface of the ceramic base material. Method for applying a titanium aluminide alloy, titanium aluminide alloy and substrate comprising a titanium aluminide alloy

A method applies a titanium aluminide alloy on a substrate. The titanium aluminide alloy has a gamma phase proportion of at least 50% based on an overall composition of the titanium aluminide. The method includes: pretreating a surface of the substrate; heat treating titanium aluminide powder particles at a temperature range of 600° C. to 1000° C. to increase the proportion of the gamma phase; cold spraying the heat-treated powder particles onto the substrate or a part of the substrate to form a layer of titanium aluminide; and thermally post-treating the layer of titanium aluminide applied to the substrate.

A method compacts an anti-corrosive paint having metal particles of a mechanical part such as a turbine engine part. METHOD FOR DEPOSITING A COATING FROM AN IMPROVED COMPOSITION SUSPENSION

Disclosed herein is a cold spray system. The cold spray system comprises a nozzle unit comprising a coating nozzle member, configured to apply at least a portion of a metallic coating to a substrate. The cold spray system is configured to pre-heat the substrate before application of the at least a portion of the metallic coating to the substrate. Also disclosed herein is a method for applying a coating via a cold spray technique.
