ANNEALING SEPARATOR COMPOSITION FOR GRAIN-ORIENTED ELECTRICAL STEEL SHEET, GRAIN-ORIENTED ELECTRICAL STEEL SHEET, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
An annealing separator composition for a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention contains a composite metal oxide containing Mg and a metal M, wherein the metal M is one or more of Be, Ca, Ba, Sr, Sn, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn.
STEEL COMPONENT COMPRISING AN ANTI-CORROSION LAYER CONTAINING MANGANESE
The invention relates to a steel component comprising a steel substrate having an anticorrosion coating present at least on one side of the steel substrate. This anticorrosion coating comprises a manganese-containing alloy layer. The manganese-containing alloy layer here forms the closest alloy layer of the anticorrosion coating to the surface. Moreover the manganese-containing alloy layer comprises iron and a further metal.
Thermochemical synthesis of metallic pigments
A method for depositing a metal-based coating on a particulate substrate, including: i) preparing a mixture comprising the particulate substrate, a powder comprising a coating metal oxide of one or more of Ti, Al, Zn, Sn, In, Sb, Ag, Co, V, Ni, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Pt, Pd, Ta, Zr, Nb, Rh, Ru, Mo, Os, Re and W, a reducing agent powder of Al metal or Al alloy, and a powder of aluminium chloride; and ii) mixing and heating the mixture to form a coating on the particulate substrate, to produce a coated substrate product.
Cold spraying
A method comprising: cold-spraying a surface of a substrate with a bond material to form a bond coating; and cold-spraying a surface of the bond coating with a coating material to form a top coating. The bond material is different from the coating material and harder than the surface of the substrate.
APPARATUS, COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS FOR STAINLESS-COATED STEEL REINFORCEMENT BAR
In some embodiments, a coating applied to steel reinforcement bar (e.g., steel rebar) that could considerably extend the lifetime of concrete structures by reducing steel rebar corrosion is disclosed. The coating includes a thin, passivating steel (e.g., stainless steel) layer that is applied to the outside of conventional steel rebar. The coating can be applied in-line through metal cold spray manufacturing, which is a high throughput coating technique that can be integrated into existing steel manufacturing plants. Furthermore, a novel, high performance ferritic steel with tailored resistance to corrosion from chlorides is described. The new ferritic steel is distinct from other commercial and experimental steels, and is better suited for coating low-cost steel structures like rebar. Multiple alloying elements including Cr, Al, and Si will each form protective oxides independently, increasing the total amount of protection and extending it over much wider ranges of pH and electrical potential.
METHOD FOR THE WET DEPOSITION OF THIN FILMS
Methods for the deposition of thin films comprising at least preparing a solution containing at least one transition metal oxide powder in a solvent, continuously stirring said solution in order to form a sol, and using said sol in the form of said transition metal oxide film, wherein the powder is subjected to a preliminary preparation step.
Method for Producing a Friction Brake Body
A method is disclosed for producing a friction brake body, in particular a brake disc, which has a main part with a frictional contact region. A wear protection layer is produced on the frictional contact region by way of laser cladding using a laser beam oriented towards the frictional contact region. The wear protection layer is produced by at least one pulverulent additive during the laser cladding. At least two pulverulent additives are added simultaneously such that the dwell time thereof in the laser beam differs.

Coating for hot-shaping core
The invention concerns a method for coating a core (1) for producing a turbomachine part (2) by isostatic compacting, for example a leading-edge shield of a blade, the coating method comprising the steps of:—S1: covering the core (1) by means of a first solution comprising a first refractory component configured to oppose the diffusion of species, the first component comprising a metal oxide,—S2: covering the core (1) by means of a second solution comprising a second component designed to bind the first component in such a way as to form a homogeneous layer, the second component comprising a mineral binder;—S3: applying a heat treatment to the covered core (1) in such a way as to dry the solution and solidify the coating.
LOW TEMPERATURE SINTERED COATINGS FOR PLASMA CHAMBERS
A method for forming a coating on a component of a substrate processing system includes arranging the component in a processing chamber and applying a ceramic material to form the coating on one or more surfaces of the component. The ceramic material is comprised of a mixture including a rare earth oxide and having a grain size of less than 150 nm and is applied while a temperature within the processing chamber is less than 400° C. The coating has a thickness of less than 30 μm. A heat treatment process is performed on the coated component in a heat treatment chamber. The heat treatment process includes increasing a temperature of the heat treatment chamber from a first temperature to a second temperature that does not exceed a melting temperature of the mixture over a first period and maintaining the second temperature for a second period.
