The present disclosure relates to agents, compositions, and methods for inhibiting corrosion in various substrates, for example in metal substrates. The present disclosure also relates to compositions for inhibiting corrosion comprising at least one organic heterocyclic compound and at least one metal salt or mixed metal salt selected from rare earth, alkali earth and transition metals.

The present invention concerns the use of at least one compound A comprising at least one —SH or —S—, M+group, at least one —C-G-C— chain, in which G represents an atom from column 16 of the periodic table, not comprising a carboxy group —C(═O)—OH or —C(═O)—O—, and of a molar mass of between 90 g.Math.mol-1 and 1000 g.Math.mol-1, as an additive in a formulation inhibiting corrosion in metals used in the oil industry, and more generally in any kind of industry involving the drilling of ores or fossil compounds, such as gas or oil, in order to improve both the anti-corrosion performance and the storage stability of same. The invention also concerns said corrosion-inhibiting formulations comprising at least one compound A.

CORROSION INHIBITION
A corrosion inhibiting composition which is a liquid carrier in which is dissolved or dispersed a corrosion inhibitor compound comprising at least one moiety (A) which is an aliphatic, aromatic or mixed aliphatic/aromatic structure containing one or more hetero atoms which are nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus or sulphur, and also at least one moiety (B) which contains one or more polymerisable groups containing double or triple bonded carbon, with the moieties (A) and (B) directly or indirectly covalently connected together.

The protectant may be disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the core and may be covalently or ionically bonded to a thiol group of the corrosion inhibitor. The protectant may be configured to reduce reaction between the core and the epoxy resin or the olefin resin. Methods of making the compositions are also disclosed.
COMPOSITIONS AND COATINGS WITH NON-CHROME CORROSION INHIBITOR PARTICLES
Compositions are described for protecting a metal surface against corrosion. The composition includes a corrosion-inhibiting particle. The corrosion inhibiting particle may be usable in an epoxy resin-based coating or an olefin resin-based coating. The particle may include a core and a protectant. The core may include a water soluble corrosion inhibitor. The protectant may be disposed on at least a portion of a surface of the core and may be covalently or ionically bonded to a thiol group of the corrosion inhibitor. The protectant may be configured to reduce reaction between the core and the epoxy resin or the olefin resin. Methods of making the compositions are also disclosed.
