A tire-enhancement product has a container comprising a dissolvable packaging material; and a solute encased in the container that is inert to the solute. The container is configured to be placed in an interior volume of a tire, to which solvent can be added. The container is configured to dissolve when placed in a predetermined solvent, and the solute is configured to mix with the solvent to form a tire-enhancement mixture.
Antifreezing coolant composition not including glycol
Disclosed is an antifreezing coolant composition, which does not include glycol but includes environmentally friendly materials, such as a carboxylic acid salt, an anthranilamide compound, a corrosion inhibitor and a triazole compound. The antifreezing coolant composition may form a thin film on the metal surface in cooling systems for vehicles to thereby exhibit high corrosion resistance at low and high temperatures, superior antifreezing performance at low temperatures, and superior cooling performance at high temperatures.
Pretreatment compositions, coated aluminum alloys, and methods of making the same
Described herein are pretreatment compositions, coated aluminum alloy products, and methods for coating the alloys. The pretreatment compositions include inorganic chemical corrosion inhibitors dispersed in a silane-based matrix and may further include clay particles. The inorganic chemical corrosion inhibitors include rare earth metals and salts thereof. The pretreatment compositions, when applied to the surface of an alloy, inhibit corrosion of the alloys. The pretreatment compositions can be used in automotive, electronics, industrial, transportation, and other applications.
Organic blend additive useful for inhibiting localized corrosion of equipment used in oil and gas production
An organic blend chemical additive comprising more than 50 wt. % organic solvent (e.g. methanol and/or ethylene glycol), less than 10 wt. % water, a nitrate salt, a maleic acid copolymer, and optionally an imidazoline may be delivered to a production well through a conduit having a stainless steel and corrosion resistant metal alloy surface, such as a capillary string or an umbilical tubing, the organic blend chemical additive being shown to be useful in inhibiting localized corrosion of and improving the repassivation of the equipment or conduit.
CLOSED LOOP COOLING WATER CORROSION INHIBITION EMPLOYING POLYMALEATES AND NON-BORATE BUFFERS
A method of inhibiting corrosion of a metal surface in contact with an aqueous medium is provided. The method may include contacting the metal surface with a corrosion inhibitor composition where the corrosion inhibitor composition may include a compound or salt thereof of formula (I). The disclosed corrosion inhibitor composition is especially useful for inhibiting corrosion in closed loop systems.

CORROSION INHIBITION OF METAL REINFORCEMENT PRESENT IN A HARDENED CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION HAVING ONE OR MORE SURFACES THAT ARE EXPOSED TO CHLORIDE INTRUSION
A method for the corrosion inhibition, and optionally rehabilitation, of metal reinforcements present in a hardened concrete construction having one or more surfaces that are exposed to chloride intrusion, wherein the method comprises the step of applying an aqueous alkali metal nitrate solution, an aqueous alkaline earth metal nitrate solution, an aqueous zinc nitrate solution, an aqueous aluminium nitrate solution, an aqueous ammonium nitrate solution or a mixture thereof on one or more of the surfaces. The present disclosure also relates to the use of an aqueous alkali metal nitrate solution, an aqueous alkaline earth metal nitrate solution, an aqueous zinc nitrate solution, an aqueous aluminium nitrate solution, an aqueous ammonium nitrate solution or a mixture thereof as a corrosion inhibitor by applying it on one or more surfaces of hardened concrete construction comprising metal reinforcements that are exposed to chloride intrusion. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to a corrosion inhibiting composition for inhibition of corrosion of metal reinforcements present in a hardened concrete construction having one or more surfaces that are exposed to chloride intrusion.
Ammonium polyphosphate based and diammonium phosphate based fire-retardant compositions
An ammonium polyphosphate based fire-retardant composition comprises an ammonium polyphosphate or a diammonium phosphate, a suspending agent, a coloring agent, a surfactant, a thickening agent, and a corrosion inhibiting agent. The suspending agent may be a sheared clay. The sheared clay may be a sheared Attapulgite clay. The coloring agent may be iron oxide. The surfactant may be selected from the group of surfactants including sulfonates, carboxyl acids, carboxylates, carboxymethyl cellulose, and catechins. The surfactant may be an emulsifier. The thickening agent may be Xanthan gum with a weight average particle size diameter greater than 100 microns. The corrosion inhibiting agent may be potassium ferricyanide or potassium ferrocyanide.
Process for producing sulfonic acid
The subject of the present invention is a process for producing a sulfonic acid which is sparingly corrosive, or even non-corrosive, with respect to stainless steels, said process comprising at least the steps of adding at least one nitrite to a sulfonic acid, curing, with stirring, with sparging of the mixture and recovering the low-corrosion sulfonic acid obtained. The invention also relates to the low-corrosion sulfonic acid obtained according to the process of the invention, and also to the use thereof as low-corrosion sulfonic acid.
Corrosion Inhibiting Product for Closed Loop Water Systems
The invention provides a product for inhibiting corrosion in a closed loop industrial water system containing a corrosion sensitive metal, the product comprising: a carboxylic acid-based corrosion inhibitor, an azole-based corrosion inhibitor, a nitrate-based corrosion inhibitor, and water. The invention also provides a method of inhibiting corrosion of a corrosion sensitive metal in a closed loop industrial water system, the method comprising treating water in the system with product of the invention, to provide treated water.
Weakly coloured sulfonic acid
The subject of the present invention is a weakly corrosive and weakly coloured sulfonic acid, with an APHA colour index of less than 20, comprising chlorides and nitrites in a chloride/sulfonic acid molar ratio of between 1 ppm and 200 ppm, and a nitrite/sulfonic acid molar ratio of between 200 ppm and 6000 ppm, limits inclusive.
