AQUEOUS SOLUTION AND REPAIR METHOD
An aqueous solution (20) is an aqueous solution used for repairing an aluminum-coated steel wire (10) with defects leading to there being iron, which contains magnesium chloride having a concentration of 10% or more, and magnesium sulfate having a concentration of 6% or more, and which allows an anticorrosion layer made of an alloy component of magnesium and aluminum to be formed.
GALVANIZED STEEL SHEET
A galvanized steel sheet is covered with an organic resin containing an anticorrosive additive that reduces galvanic current flowing between the zinc coating and the base steel sheet, to thereby considerably suppress intrusion of hydrogen into the steel sheet to prevent delayed fracture of the steel sheet.
CLOSED LOOP COOLING WATER CORROSION INHIBITION EMPLOYING POLYMALEATES AND NON-BORATE BUFFERS
A method of inhibiting corrosion of a metal surface in contact with an aqueous medium is provided. The method may include contacting the metal surface with a corrosion inhibitor composition where the corrosion inhibitor composition may include a compound or salt thereof of formula (I). The disclosed corrosion inhibitor composition is especially useful for inhibiting corrosion in closed loop systems.

A composition for corrosion control in aqueous systems, the composition providing a formulation of a concentrated aluminum corrosion inhibitor; and (i) a polycarboxylic acid polymer, (ii) a sulfonic acid polymer, (iii) a combination of a polycarboxylic acid and a polysulfonic acid, (iv) an organic phosphonate, (v) a combination of a phosphonate and a polycarboxylic acid, or (vi) a combination of a phosphonate and a polysulfonic acid. A method for corrosion control in aqueous systems, the method providing a concentrated formulation, the concentrated formulation having an aluminum corrosion inhibitor and (i) a polycarboxylic acid polymer, (ii) a sulfonic acid polymer, (iii) a combination of a polycarboxylic acid and a polysulfonic acid, (iv) an organic phosphonate, (v) a combination of a phosphonate and a polycarboxylic acid, or (vi) a combination of a phosphonate and a polysulfonic acid; and delivering the concentrated formulation to an aqueous stream.
Coating carbon steel tubing with iron sulfide
Treating carbon steel tubing includes contacting the carbon steel tubing with a first treatment solution including a salt; corroding the carbon steel tubing with the salt to yield a corroded surface on the carbon steel tubing; contacting the corroded surface on the carbon steel tubing with a second treatment solution comprising sulfide ions; and forming an iron sulfide layer on the corroded surface of the carbon steel tubing by chemically bonding the sulfide ions in the second treatment solution with iron in the carbon steel tubing. In some cases, the first treatment solution also includes sulfide ions, and the iron sulfide layer is formed by contacting the carbon steel tubing with the first treatment solution.
Inhibitors of metal corrosion
The present invention relates to a composition of at least one sulfonic acid in combination with an effective amount of at least one nitrosyl compound, acting as inhibitor of corrosion of metals by said at least one sulfonic acid.
FILM FORMING METHOD OF CORROSION RESISTANT FILM, CORROSION RESISTANT MEMBER ON WHICH CORROSION RESISTANT FILM IS FORMED, HEAT EXCHANGER, AND FUEL CELL SYSTEM
Provided is a film forming method of a corrosion resistant film having a corrosion resistance under acidic atmosphere and a corrosion resistant member on which the corrosion resistant film is coated. The film forming method of the corrosion resistant film includes: bringing a substrate made of aluminum into contact with an aqueous solution containing sulfate ions and fluoride ions; and heating the substrate to boil the aqueous solution on a surface of the substrate and forming a corrosion resistant film containing at least oxygen, fluorine, and sulfur in the aluminum derived from the substrate on the surface of the substrate.
