HYBRID ELECTROSPINNER FOR CORE-SHELL FIBER FABRICATION
Electrospinning (ES) provides the technical community with a readily available method to produce polymer fibers ranging from nanoscale to microscale. Here, we present a novel “hybrid electrospirming apparatus,” whereby, modifications to a melt electrospinner have allowed fabrication of core-sheath fibers with polymer sheaths and solution-based cores. These modifications include a split polymer melt heating block, coaxial block spinneret equipped with heaters and multiple feed ports for core and sheath material, and a wiring system for heat which requires multiple switches for safety and on-demand heat activation. Successful demonstration of coaxial fiber fabrication is demonstrated using polycaprolactone-polyethylene oxide blend shell and fluorescent gelatin core materials.

Apparatus for making nonwoven fabric from fibers
An apparatus for making a nonwoven fabric from thermoplastic fibers has a spinneret for spinning fibers into continuous filaments and a cooler for cooling the filaments. The cooled filaments are then deposited on a conveyor to form a nonwoven web. A first consolidator surface treats the nonwoven web with a hot fluid or hot air as it is conveyed on the conveyor. A second consolidating downstream of the first consolidator has a dual-belt furnace in which the nonwoven web is passed between two circulating belts or continuous belts for surface treating the nonwoven web with a hot fluid or hot air and for applying surface pressure can be applied to the nonwoven web at the same time.
Melt spinning device
A melt spinning device for producing synthetic threads includes at least a spinneret apparatus, a cooling apparatus, a processing apparatus and a winding apparatus. An automatic operating device is provided for carrying out at least one operator action. The automatic operating device has at least one movable robotic arm, which can be coupled selectively to one of a plurality of exchangeable tools in order to selectively carry out a plurality of operator actions during a start-up and/or during a maintenance interval and/or during thread production. Thus, a high level of flexibility in the automated operation of the melt spinning device is ensured.

Device and method for producing polymer fibers and its uses thereof
A device including one or more nozzles having a tubular fiber spinning needle and method for producing non-toxic polymer fibers and microfibrous and nanofibrous polymer materials made thereof on a small to large scale using a wide range of synthetic polymers and bio-based polymers. The device and method enable continuous in-line production of polymer fibers at a high fiber production rate energy efficiently and safely. The increased polymer fiber production rate is achieved by the at least one nozzle that enables a centrifugal force acting upon the tubular fiber spinning needle causing rotational motion of the tubular fiber spinning needle and higher polymer injection rates per nozzle.

Plant for producing non-woven fabric
Plant for producing non-woven fabric, which comprises a cooling chamber provided with a first and with a second cooling section traversed by filaments of non-woven fabric. In addition, the plant comprises a feed duct connected to the cooling chamber in order to convey, within the latter, a cooling gas by means of the action of a fan, and provided with a first and with a second valve arranged for determining corresponding flows of the cooling gas to be introduced, respectively, in the first and in the second cooling section. A pressure sensor is employed in order to determine the pressure in the cooling chamber, by controlling the fan in a feedback manner.
