Reflective fabrics
Disclosed is a retro-reflective fabric, having an inner surface and an outer surface; one or more strands of retro-reflective yarn incorporated into the fabric; and a reflective ink coupled to the outer surface of the fabric. Also provided is a method of making a retro-reflective fabric, including: providing a coated retro-reflective yarn; incorporating the coated retro-reflective yarn into the weave or knit of a fabric; and disposing a reflective ink into an outward facing surface of the fabric.
Color-changing fabric having printed pattern
A color-changing product includes a fabric. The fabric includes a first layer and a second layer. The first layer is arranged using at least one fiber. The at least one fiber includes (a) an electrically conductive core and (b) a coating disposed around and along the electrically conductive core. The second layer is printed onto the first layer. The second layer includes a foreground thermochromic pigment that is selectively activatable by providing an electrical current to the electrically conductive core of the at least one fiber to change at least one of a foreground color or a pattern of the second layer.
Method for forming anti-counterfeiting feature during knitting of fabric and fabric thereof
A method for forming an anti-counterfeiting feature during knitting of a fabric and a fabric thereof, the fabric is knitted with at least one first yarn, a part of the fabric includes a plurality of featured yarn loops formed by a second yarn, the featured yarn loops constitute an anti-counterfeiting feature, the anti-counterfeiting feature can be directly observed from one side surface of the fabric, the second yarn is formed by twisting at least two sub-yarns with different shades, and shades of the at least two sub-yarns and the first yarn are different from each other, and a shade of the featured yarn loops displayed on the side surface is random. Accordingly, the randomness of yarn twisting makes the anti-counterfeiting feature difficult to be replicated, thereby preventing unscrupulous manufacturers from counterfeiting the fabric.
Authentication for digital dyeing
An article of manufacture, comprising, an artifact formed from at least a portion of at least one continuous artifact fiber, the artifact fiber dyed by a first digitally controlled dyeing process to exhibit a visible first color section and a visible color gradient section transitioning from and visibly distinguishable from the first color section; and, a textile portion, comprising at least one dyed fiber that has been dyed by a second digitally controlled dyeing process; wherein said artifact fiber is dyed by the first dyeing process applying metadata, said metadata relating to at least said first color, and wherein said textile portion fiber is dyed at least said first color by the second dyeing process applying said metadata.
Color-changing fabric and applications
A color-changing product includes a fabric. At least a portion of the fabric includes or is arranged using at least one of (i) a color-changing fiber or (ii) a color-changing yarn including the color-changing fiber. The color-changing fiber includes an electrically conductive core having a first tensile strength, a reinforcement core having a second tensile strength that is greater than the first tensile strength, and a coating disposed around and along the electrically conductive core and the reinforcement core. The coating includes a polymeric material having a color-changing pigment.
Device and related method for the automatic control of the color tone of a reel of thread
A device for automatic control of color tone of a reel of thread includes a frame supporting an arm on which a reel of thread is loadable, a meter configured to project a measuring beam onto a cylindrical portion of the reel of thread, the meter having a camera and an illuminator aligned with the camera, the illuminator being multispectral and configured to illuminate the reel of thread with different wavelengths. A computer provided with a screen with graphic interface and connected to the meter processes the classification of the reel of thread loaded on the arm on the basis of measurements performed by the meter.
AUTHENTICATION DEVICES
An authentication device comprising a woven authentication pattern, wherein the woven authentication pattern comprises a plurality of pattern forming woven elements each defining at least one pattern defining element or a plurality of pattern defining elements, and each pattern forming woven element is formed by a plurality of threads having contrasting optical or visual properties in twisted mutual engagement, wherein said pattern defining element has a spiralling outline or boundary and adjacent or abutting pattern defining elements of a pattern forming woven element are visually or optically distinguishable.
METHOD AND DEVICE OF DYNAMICALLY CONFIGURING LINEAR DENSITY AND BLENDING RATIO OF YARN BY TWO-INGREDIENT ASYNCHRONOUS/SYNCHRONOUS DRAFTED
The invention discloses a method of dynamically configuring linear density and blending ratio of yarn by two-ingredient asynchronous/synchronous drafted, comprising: a drafting and twisting system, which includes a first stage drafting unit, a successive second stage drafting unit and an integrating and twisting unit. The first stage drafting unit includes a combination of back rollers and a middle roller. The second stage drafting unit includes a front roller and the middle roller. Blending proportion and linear densities of the two ingredients are dynamically adjusted by the first stage asynchronous drafting mechanism, and reference linear density is adjusted by the second stage synchronous drafting mechanism. The invention can not only accurately control linear density change, but also accurately control color change of the yarn. Further, the rotation rate of the middle roller is constant, ensuring a reproducibility of the patterns and colors of the yarn with a changing linear density.
LINEAR TEXTILE STRUCTURE
A linear textile structure has at least two strands, wherein a first strand has microfibers and a second strand encloses the first strand, wherein the structure may provide a stable linear textile structure, by which the most effective cleaning possible can be achieved with minimum effort. Both strands can be brought into contact together at least in some sections and simultaneously with a surface to be cleaned.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING A BUNDLE OF FILAMENTS AND/OR A YARN
Systems for producing M bundles of filaments, wherein M≥1, include N extruders, M spin stations, and a processor, wherein N>1. Each extruder includes a thermoplastic polymer having a color, hue, and/or dyability characteristic, which are different from each other. Each spin station produces N bundles of filaments that form a yarn. Each spin station comprises N spinnerets through which filaments are spun from molten polymers streams received by the respective spin station and N spin pumps upstream of the N spinnerets for the respective spin station. Each spin pump is paired with one of the N extruders. The processor is in electrical communication with the N*M spin pumps and is configured to adjust the volumetric flow rate of the polymers pumped from each spin pump to achieve a ratio of the polymers to be included in the yarn from each spin station.
