Therapeutic medical compression garment and method
A therapeutic medical garment including a knitted welt proximate one end thereof with a surface adapted for residing against the wearer's skin. The garment includes a ground yarn and a plurality of raised, skin-engaging stabilizer elements, such as elongate bars extending in spaced-apart relation around an inner surface of the welt and along a longitudinal axis of the garment to reduce a tendency of the welt to roll over on itself.
KNITTED PART
A knitted part flat-knitted from at least one knitting thread, said knitted part including a ground fabric portion having a plurality of ground fabric courses, and also at least one wave portion which extends across a plurality of wales, which include a plurality of wave portion courses and in which, in each case, a loop has been knitted in a first wale in a first wave portion course and every further wave portion course, whereas, in each case, in an adjacent second wale, a loop knitted in the first wave portion course extends across a plurality of wave portion courses, wherein at least one elastic weft thread runs through at least a portion of the ground fabric courses and the wave portion courses.
Welted textile orthosis
An orthosis chosen from a venous support orthosis and an elastic venous compression orthosis, the orthosis including a ribbed top and a leg part, the ribbed top including an intermediate part extending the leg part, the stitch being different on each side of the boundary separating the leg part and the intermediate part, a welt extending the intermediate part and of a height less than 1.5 cm.
Knit sock with targeted compression zone
A knit sock includes a foot portion having an upper instep area and a lower sole area integrally knit of a body yarn in circumferential courses and axial wales. The lower sole area defines inner and outer arch regions. The inner arch region incorporates a targeted compression zone adapted to reside generally adjacent an inner arch of a wearer's foot. The compression zone includes axially extending compression ridges of variable length spaced apart from a top of the compression zone to a bottom of the compression zone. When the sock is worn, a compression force applied by the foot portion within the targeted compression zone is greater than the compression force in directly adjacent areas of said foot portion.
LEG GARMENTS AND RELATED METHODS
A leg garment (1, 1′, 1″, 1′″, 1″″), comprising a flat-knitted basic knitted fabric part (3, 3′, 3″, 3′″, 3″″) forming at least one foot part (2, 2′, 2″, 2′″), with at least one first functional zone (4) which is knitted into the basic knitted fabric part (3, 3′, 3″, 3″″) and which is formed to accommodate a heel of a foot, wherein the flat-knitted basic knitted fabric part (3, 3′, 3″, 3′″, 3″″) is sewn together by means of a longitudinal seam (5, 5′, 5″, 5′″, 5″″) to form a tubular knitted fabric, wherein at least one first functional zone (4) is knitted into the basic knitted fabric part (3, 3′, 3″, 3′″, 3″″) in such a manner that in the worn state of the leg garment (1, 1′, 1″, 1′″, 1″″), the longitudinal seam (5, 5′, 5″, 5′″, 5″″) connecting the basic knitted fabric part (3, 3′, 3″, 3′″, 3″″) is arranged outside the sole of the foot at least in a heel area.
CIRCULAR-KNITTED PART AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF SAME
A circular-knitted part, with a base knitted material knitted with at least one base knitting yarn, the base material having several rows of stitches which are knitted together when seen in the longitudinal direction of the base knitted material and which extend circumferentially in spiral fashion, wherein, seen in the longitudinal direction of the base knitted material, an additional yarn, which forms stitches, is interknitted between two rows of stitches of the base knitted material, thus connecting the rows of stitches together, to form at lease on additional stitch, wherein the additional stitch is formed by at least one separate additional yarn.
ADHESIVE TEXTILE
Textile with an adhesive effect containing at least one stitch-forming adhesive thread. The adhesive thread has a component that imparts an adhesive effect at least at a surface thereof.
Decorative Graduated Compression sock
The present invention provides a decorative compression sock made from resilient elastic material for the prevention and treatment. The material is composed of a plurality of fibers. An aesthetically pleasing image is stored onto a sublimation transferable medium. The image is transferred from the sublimation transfer medium onto the compression sock wherein the image is permanently incorporated into the plurality of fibers of the material. The compression sock configured as a knee length tubular member having a closed end and an opened lower end. Compression is graduated from the toe, ankle and leg portion.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TUBULAR COMPRESSION ITEM, AND ITEM THEREBY OBTAINED
A tubular compression item having at least one leg part, one foot tip, one heel, one foot and one ribbed edge in the extension of the leg part delimiting an opening for introducing a foot into the item, is provided. The leg part has a height extending from the foot part up to the ribbed edge, and the leg part, the foot and the ribbed edge of the tubular compression item each comprise at least one knitting yarn. An elastic weft yarn is inserted between the stitches on the outer face and the stitches on the inner face of the leg part. The elastic weft yarn is inserted on at least 90% of the columns of stitches without forming any tuck stitch or loop stitch. The elastic weft yarn is maintained between two consecutive rows of stitches in the leg part. The foot tip and the heel each comprise at least one knitting yarn.
METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING A CIRCULAR-KNITTED COMPRESSION GARMENT
A method of constructing a compression garment, for example, a sock, formed of a knitted fabric that includes an elastomer compression inlay yarn introduced into a predetermined first selection of needles on a first knitting machine finger position and first and second pattern yarns introduced into a predetermined second selection of needles on second and third knitting machine finger positions, the first selection of needles and the second selection of needles collectively defining a predetermined pattern. When the predetermined second selection of needles is raised to take on the first and second pattern yarns, the elastomer compression inlay yarn deflects predetermined ones of the second selection of needles radially inwardly to define an annular space into which the pattern yarns are dropped in an offset relation to the elastomer compression inlay yarn. The first and second pattern yarns are plated to respective outer and inner surfaces of the fabric, and the elastomer compression yarn are inlaid to the inner surface of the fabric.
