Quilted panel
Apparatuses, methods, and computer program products for quilting webs without compressing the webs. A quilting machine includes a needle bar to which needles are attached, needle thread passing through each needle, a looper shaft to which loopers are attached, a looper corresponding to each needle and from which looper thread is provided to form stitches, and a retainer bar to which spreaders are attached to facilitate stitching. A drive pulley powered by a first servo motor rotates cranks to move the needles through a cycle and rotates a belt which rotates an indexer pulley. Rotation of the indexer pulley oscillates the looper shaft and reciprocates the retainer bar. Another drive pulley powered by a second servo motor operates to move an input web through the machine between chain stiches.

Stitch-forming tool assembly for a sewing system and sewing system having such an assembly
A stitch-forming tool assembly for a sewing machine is used to produce a double-chain stitch seam. A sewing needle of the assembly can be driven up and down in a needle stitching direction perpendicular to a material to be sewn and is designed to guide a needle thread. A looper of the assembly is designed to guide a looper thread and for oscillating movement in an oscillating movement plane. The latter is spanned by the needle stitching direction and by a sewing direction along the double chain stitch seam. During an entire double chain stitch a path of movement of the looper lies completely in the oscillating movement plane. This results in a stitch-forming tool assembly in which in particular a looper drive is simplified.

THREAD TAKE-UP LEVER SWITCHING MECHANISM AND SEWING MACHINE
A thread take-up lever switching mechanism can switch the operation of a thread take-up lever which is interlocked with an upper shaft. The thread take-up lever switching mechanism includes: a cylindrical cam provided on the upper shaft, the cylindrical cam having a plurality of cam surfaces; a contact portion provided on the thread take-up lever, the contact portion contacting a first surface of the plurality of cam surfaces; and a switch for switching the contact portion from a first position of contacting the first surface of the plurality of cam surfaces to a second position of contacting a second surface of the plurality of cam surfaces.
Device for fastening a gripper on a gripper shaft of a textile machine
A device for fastening a gripper on a gripper shaft of a textile machine, in particular a sewing machine, preferably a multi-needle sewing machine, with a support element for the gripper is described. The support element for the gripper is connected to a holder or the gripper shaft via a connecting element in such a way that the support element for the gripper is detachable from the holder or the gripper shaft. The connecting element is designed as a toggle screw or locking mechanism such that the toggle screw rotatably engages through a bore in the support element into a corresponding opening in the holder or the gripper shaft, engaging behind an abutment, or the locking mechanism is designed as a positive connection between the support element and the holder.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STITCHING A THREE DIMENSIONAL FORMED COMPONENT AND COMPONENTS FORMED FROM THE METHOD
An apparatus and method for applying stitches to a decorative component having a three dimensional configuration is provided. A head for applying stitches to a decorative component having a three dimensional configuration, including: a needle bar assembly operatively coupled to the head; a looper configured to cooperate with the needle bar assembly in order to prove a plurality of stitches in the decorative component, the looper rotating in a plane parallel to the decorative component; a post assembly configured to drive the looper in a reciprocating fashion in the plane, wherein the post assembly is operatively coupled to a motor configured to drive the needle bar assembly in a reciprocating fashion, the post assembly being operatively coupled to the head via a cylinder arm assembly and a downshaft assembly; and wherein the cylinder arm assembly is rotated in a synchronized manner with a rock frame through mechanical linkage connecting a rock frame drive shaft to the cylinder arm assembly.
