A washing machine includes a dewatering shaft for rotating a washing tub, a drive shaft for rotating a pulsator in the washing tub, a coupler that is configured to move up and down along the dewatering shaft, a solenoid module that moves the coupler upward, a coupler guide configured to be rotated by contact with the coupler when the coupler moves upward, and to maintain a position of the coupler or guide the coupler to another position when the coupler moves downward, and a controller that controls operation of the solenoid module based on applying one or more pulse signals to the solenoid module.

A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet including a front panel having a detergent opening defined therein; a tub disposed inside the cabinet; a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub; and a detergent storage unit retracting into the cabinet through the detergent opening. A detergent to be supplied to the drum is stored in the detergent storage unit. The front panel has an opening extension portion extending from a periphery of the detergent opening toward an inside of the cabinet. The apparatus further includes a protective casing disposed inside the cabinet and coupled to the opening extension portion. The protective casing surrounds at least a portion of the detergent storage unit retracting into the cabinet through the detergent opening. The protective casing includes an opening protection wall constructed to cover an inner face of the opening extension portion facing toward the detergent opening to protect the opening extension portion.

A laundry treating apparatus is disclosed. The laundry treating apparatus includes a first treating apparatus, a second treating apparatus, and a control panel disposed signally connected to the first treating apparatus and the second treating apparatus, and the first treating apparatus includes a lower frame disposed rearward of the control panel and coupled to the control panel to fix the control panel.

A washing machine including a door provided to open and close an inlet, a tub having an opening corresponding to the inlet, a drum rotatably provided inside the tub and in which laundry is accommodatable, a door cleaning nozzle provided to spray washing water toward the door, a pump chamber provided at a lower portion of the tub to store the washing water discharged from the tub, a drain pump provided to pump the washing water stored in the pump chamber and discharge the washing water to the outside, and a controller provided to rotate the drum in order to tumble the laundry, spray washing water through the door cleaning nozzle, operate the drain pump to discharge the washing water stored in the pump chamber, and supply the washing water to a water supply pipe connected to a detergent supply device.

A laundry treating apparatus is disclosed. The laundry treating apparatus includes a first treating apparatus, a second treating apparatus, and a control panel disposed signally connected to the first treating apparatus and the second treating apparatus, and the first treating apparatus includes a lower frame disposed rearward of the control panel and coupled to the control panel to fix the control panel.

Described and illustrated is a washing machine for washing textiles, including a tub for receiving a washing liquid, a laundry drum inserted at least partially into the tub, a drive for rotating the laundry drum in the tub and a discharge line connected to the tub for discharging washing liquid from the tub. In order to be able to separate the microplastic fibres more easily, cost-effectively and reliably from the washing water or another washing liquid, it is provided that an intermediate storage device is provided for temporarily storing washing liquid discharged via the discharge line, a centrifuge unit rotated by the drive together with the laundry drum for separating microplastic fibres and a return line for transferring the washing liquid from the intermediate storage device into the centrifuge unit.

A washing machine and a method of controlling the washing machine are provided. The washing machine includes a display configured to display a washing course and a first washing option set corresponding to the washing course, an inputter configured to receive a user's option change command for changing at least one washing option among a plurality of washing options included in the first washing option set from a user, a storage configured to store a washing option set including the changed at least one washing option, and at least one processor configured, based on the storage of the washing option set being more than a predetermined number of times, to control the first washing option set to be changed to a second washing option set based on the changed at least one washing option.

A method of controlling a laundry treatment apparatus, the method including: determining whether bubbles have been generated in a tub of the laundry treatment apparatus in a state in which a second washing apparatus of the laundry treatment apparatus is operated based on a sequence of operations; and based on a determination that bubbles have been generated, reducing bubbles by (i) adding at least one first operation to the sequence of operations or (ii) replacing at least one second operation of the sequence of operations, is disclosed.

The method includes selecting one or more of categories of clothing displayed on a clothing module and displaying a selected clothing model in an area to be washed. The method also includes clicking on a start item, a washing procedure recommendation module analyzing and automatically recommending washing parameters according to the selected clothing model. The method further includes applying the washing parameters displayed and recommended, a processing module receiving washing parameters recommended by the washing procedure recommendation module and controlling a washing device; wherein the washing parameters at least include washing time, washing temperature and rotation speed.
